Hidden Well Hiriketiya

Quiet location tucked away from the main town, a short walk away. Simple but spacious room - mine had a fan and private bathroom (with open windows). I did not explore the communal bathrooms or kitchen as I did not have reason to.

The roof leaked a few times during heavy rainfall - fortunately did not land on my clothes, but that was just due to luck! It would have been helpful to have more storage/hanging space for clothing, but there is a small clothes horse and a few chairs which did the job.

I absolutely loved this property, toilets and showers were amazing very in touch with nature.

The only good thing about that place is the location.

I don't know how this place had such a high rate on booking. It was a vey uncomfortable stay, The room was like a warehouse. I wouldn't even call it a room. There is a space between the roof so any kind of animal, insect can enter the room. Nothing entered but the place is in the jungle so I didn't feel comfortable with that. There are many mosquitos at night so you can only survive inside the mosquito net. As the room has open space between the roof, there is a party of mosquitos in the evening and night. The toilet was not clean. Not hygiene standards. There was not hot water in the shower. In the night, it is very dark on the way back so it can be a bit scary to go back late at night for a solo female. Also I'm also wandering how they can charge so much for such a horrible room. I highly not recommend the private room.

Excellent space to relax in nature. Outdoor showers, close to the beach friendly and helpful owners. Nothing was ever too much. Real community feeling. Thank you!

The most incredible Hostel in Sri Lanka. The shower under the palm trees was amazing. It was very clean and the rooms were decent size. You can see monkeys, squirrels, peacocks and many other animals. If you love nature I highly recommend it.

The staff was really friendly, my elbow was hurting and they helped me get to a doctor. We really liked the bathroom and showers too. They were always very clean and smelled really nice. It's a short walk to the hustle and bustle of Hiriketya. You can hear the sea from the room. Unfortunately also the loud peacocks haha.

We liked everything. Just a suggestion: A night stand would be really nice. We did like the shelves, clothesline and the musquitonet.

Really unique building and great location

Comfy bed, very clean. And the environment is so nice! A little part of the jungle, with monkeys and squirrels. Oh, and the open air showers are the best!!!
