Losmanos Hostel

I actually didn’t end up staying at Losmanos, so cannot comment on the nights sleep / rooms.

Arrived a few hours before check in and aware that this meant I could not check in yet. Abrupt greeting by staff member on arrival who stated “you can’t check in yet, put your bags here” and then walked off. Sat to charge my phone, however nobody approachable / chatty. No guidance given about what I could do in the day before checking in etc. also noted that bathroom not particularly clean and pool looked very un inviting / green. I was exhausted after a long travel day, which probably didn’t help my feelings towards the situation, but I felt that the reception was rather frosty. Suffice to stay I left and headed to another hostel where I experienced a much better welcome, with guidance about what Yogyakarta has to offer.

A super relaxed place. You meet people easily. The brothers who own the place are amazing. I had a hard time leaving the place after a week. I even wanted to miss my flight. The place is very artsy, clean and the common area chill. Location is great as well.

Great little posi in a great location. Super chill people and a friendly vibe. A great place to chat with other travellers. Situated in a quiet laneway, I felt safe with most amenities at hand. The outdoor shower and lizard was amazing. The pool, a godsend after a hot day hitting the cultural highs. Most people respectful of those sleeping. Our six bunk room had AC which made it great for sleep. GoJek taxi motorbikes found it easily too. A wonderful experience. Thanks Aldi and the gang 🙏

Nice staff, opens bathrooms very comfortable, big dorms with bed net for mosquitoes and fan , drinks and food from the bar , nice swimming pool , perfect place to chill and meet others traveler , good vibes
