Losmanos Hostel

The hostel is in a great location, with two ways to reach it: a longer, winding route through small streets where we arrived the first time, and a shorter, much more convenient path that leads straight to a lively street full of shops and services. The price for what you get is great. The bed was decent, but we didn’t love that the room had only a fan and no AC. There are three bathrooms, and the last one is completely open to the sky, which actually adds a nice touch. There’s a lot of greenery incorporated into the interior, giving it a small “urban jungle” vibe, but that also means you’ll hear some creatures around—like the frog we heard by the pool every day. The common area with the bar is nice, and the owners are very friendly. They let us leave our bags and hang around the hostel until the end of the day, which we really appreciated.

The bathrooms weren’t fully clean, probably because of the constant humidity, and the water tended to splash everywhere, so you had to place your things strategically. The bed is just a mattress on the floor—not an issue for us, but it could bother someone else.

Im großen Dorm schläft man lediglich auf Matratzen. Von der Decke bröselt es herunter.

Ik boekte 2 nachten. Ben uiteindelijk 10 dagen gebleven. De gastheren waren super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De gasten komen niets te kort.

This is a chill hostel that’s also social. It’s a great place to go if you want alone time or if you want to get to know people. If you want some downtime then this is a good hostel to recharge.

The pool looked a bit dirty so I avoided it which was a shame!

This was one of the nicest hostels I stayed in. The staff were above kind. Really social and try to get everyone involved or at least known. The beds were super comfy and rooms were spacious. They offered food and beer. The location was perfect and central to everything. You could also rent bikes too. If you want a small chill family vibe hostel come here.

The pool wasn't clean which was a shame as it looks super nice. When you're in a city a pool is a bonus at the end of the day.

The vibe and the staff are amazing. There are group activities every night, like going to a bar of for dinner. The pool was very refreshing and the bar had everything you needed. The bathrooms are stylish and the whole thing just looks like a hippie hideout in the middle of the city. The staff organised the best mount Merapi tour for us and we learned a fun card game from them!

In the dorm you just sleep on a mattress on the floor and there are only fans no AC. One of the bathrooms was always flooded and there is no way to make your own food or drinks, because there is no kitchen.
