The bathroom is acceptable and has a water heater inside. The lower bunk beds are actually on the floor . The terrace is a good place to relax and the view is quite good.

It's a tough walk up the slope to go to the square and quite a distance but still not too bad to walk to the bus/jeep stand

Réception staff was really kind and the top terrace is nice with a big shared space and a view on the mountains.

The whole building needs some serious cleaning and maintenance. Everything in the bathroom was dripping so the floor was constantly wet, mold on the walls and on the sanitary and a very unpleasant constant smell that permeates also the room. There are two hotels across the street and people from their balcony can look into your room (and they will!) unless you keep your curtains shut. There is no laundry service, no cafe or food service.

少し設備が古くなっていたが、宿泊に全く支障は感じませんでした。

I stayed here for more than a week for workation and the thought of moving to another place did not even occur once in my mind. The staff is great. Hygeine is maintained. The roof top cafe is the highlight. The indoor sitting have got all the vibes with beautiful seating, views, music and great food. Food prices are reasonable. Outside terrace gives you a great view of mountains (You do not need to hike Triund). Its connectivity is the best whether its Dharmshala, Dharamkot or Bhagsu. This stay has got all the cafes just around the corner and best one falls over the roof of this stay 😉 Mitra hosts Mahi and Neema are kind and helpful. They never makes you feel out of home. They will sit and chill with you. Its a must go place when you are in McLeodganj. Recommended for workation.

They make you feel so comfortable that you end up staying here in one place only😄. Moving away to next stay when beds are not available will make you feel sad.

We booked due to its location. The receptionist was nice

We requested to extend our stay to include an extra day before our initial arrival date. The hostel got this wrong (despite me confirming twice) and there were no available rooms when we arrived, so we had to book elsewhere. They were happy to provide a refund, however they deducted 600 rupees for taxes, despite booking.com noting 350 rupees of taxes. They said this was for the tax of doing an international transfer, which they made us do for 50% of the booking ahead of arrival. In my view, it was the hotels mistake so they should be covering the cost, or at least the cost of the transfer they require ahead of time.
