We stayed at HI Lake Louise Alpine Centre and overall really enjoyed the experience. The bedroom was pretty much exactly what we expected from a hostel — simple and practical — although our heating didn’t work when we arrived and we had to grab a space heater from the front desk. That said, the shared common spaces absolutely made this place for us. The loft area was such a great atmosphere to unwind at the end of the day with a red wine in front of the fire while playing pool and cards with our kids and parents. We also really liked that other families were using the common areas too, which gave it a relaxed and welcoming feel. It wasn’t a super party-style hostel, which suited us perfectly, and ended up serving our family really well as a comfortable and affordable mountain stay.

Heating in room didn't work, but were supplied with a space heater from front desk.

Beautiful location, easy access from highway, close to ski hill and lake louise!
