Bergoase Hütte und Hostel Sauna Kamin Lagerfeuer

One of my best lodging experience so far, especially for a nature trip. The location is easily reachable by bus from Bad Schandau, and the structure has everything you need for a trip to the nearby national park. The cosy setting makes you feel like you're at home, and if you're travelling alone, you'll find that the communal areas and warm furniture facilitate socialising.

War hier für eine kleine Wandertour mit meinem Sohn. Wir haben im Gruppenlager geschlafen. Es ist ein super netter Ort für Wanderer, Camper, Familien mit sehr nettem Personal.

Vše v nejlepším pořádku, milí a vstřícní lidé ikdyz jsme měli pozdější check in. Moc děkujeme za krásný pobyt ❤️Sauna a krb je dokonalý!

Jediné co nás trosku rozhodilo, bylo, ze jsme dostali informaci ze jsou akceptovány i české koruny, což nakonec nebyly. Nakonec se vše v pořádku vyřešilo , jen nás to překvapilo 😊

It’s in a green and quiet area. It can serve as the starting point of various hikes. The facilities are good.

Great location with a truly panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. There are several accommodaton options: camping spots for camper vans or tents, apartments, a double room and a dorm with space for six persons. I chose the latter. My room was reasonably spacious and there is a nice common area with a fridge and a coffee machine. There is also wifi in this area. There is also a communal kitchen in an adjacent building which is shared with the campers. It is quite basically equipped with several small induction hobs and some pots and pans but not much else. There is, however, a gas-powered barbeque available to guests, which is a nice touch. There is also a small fire pit to hang out after dark. I found the staff to be both knowledgeable and helpful. Finally, there is a small 'shop' at reception selling a handful of basic items. The local beer on offer is rather good though. The best thing abozut the ocation is that there many nice hikes which start right from the hostel.

Quiet location is mostly a plus, but it also means there's not much to do in the village. There is a restaurant inj the next village, Altendorf, but it is 2.4km away, along a hiking trail. The only real reservation I have about the accommodation - or at least the accommodation I booked - is that there is only one shower for potentially nine or more guests in the building.
