It's an okay place. Nothing to write home about.

The location is absolutely its biggest flaw. It's too far so don't even think about dragging your luggage here. Get a luggage cart. Costs 100bhatt but worth it. Plus reaching here is so difficult and so is getting out because the entrance is covered in seawater during certain times. They could have made another entrance but they didn't bother. If you have heavy luggage, skip this place. The staff was rude. They charged me for having hot water, which felt weird but the lady didn't have to be so rude about it. There is no kitchen, usually hostels have kitchen that guests can use. That was a big minus point for me. This is a party hostel so only come here if you are okay with loud music at night. Cleanliness was okay for a hostel. Rooms are incredibly small. No lifts so be ready to carry your luggage on the steep steps. They do take your passports during checkin. That didn't feel right to me.

We liked how close it was too the beach, the famous boat party and really loved every staff members energy ! Izzy and Connor were amazing.

Endless sand in our room no matter how clean we kept it, hostel was pretty social and easy to meet people, just make sure you’re aware of loud music playing all night and you may be staying right next to or above it haha, and aircon being turned off between certain hours. There website prefaces all the above :) overall our stay was a good experience.

The location was really good. It's right next to freedom bar where all the night fun happens. The night activities at Blanco themselves are good with daily beer pong. The people were great.

Some washrooms were dirty. Also it was sandy everywhere. Also mandatory passport deposit is a big negative.
