The host was exceptional! She was so helpful and kind. Even help me to resolve a problem with my group tour in Mandarin. She also patiently answered all of my questions about traveling in Hualien and Taiwan in general. The location is great as well. Just a few mins walk to the train station, 7-11, lots of restaurant. The common area was also very good. :)

If you are a neat freak, you might not be 100% satisfied with the bathroom in the female-only room. And the dust in the dorm made my allergies flared up a little bit.
