I loved the social vibe and the location of the hostel was great. It was quiet during the night and had a very relaxed and chill vibe overall. During happy hour we were offered great caipirinhas along with good music. The volunteers were super lovely people and did their job well :)

wifi could be better, and some more storage possibilities in the rooms would be great as well :). also the water pressure in the showers could be better.

I had a terrible experience staying at this hostel and would highly recommend looking elsewhere. The floors and floor mats were filthy. There were old socks on the floor and leftover water bottles from previous guests left on the shelf next to my bed. The mattress and mattress topper were stained and in a horrible condition. The mattress had black mould on it and it smelled awful. I actually got an electric shock from the shower in the dorm room (which is in the dingy basement) and I know other guests had the same experience previously but nothing had been done about it. There were not enough lockable lockers in the room, so I had nowhere to safely store my backpack or valuables. Plus, the hostel had zero security—anyone could walk in at any time of the day or night. The curtains didn’t fit the bed properly, so privacy was non-existent in a mixed dorm and the Wi-Fi didn’t reach the dorm. When I arrived, the front desk was not staffed, and I had to ask other guests to help me find someone to check me in. When I shared my feedback via WhatsApp after my reservation ended it was completely ignored. I stayed only 2 nights out of the 6 I had booked and ended up paying to stay somewhere else—much better for the same price. Overall, this was one of the worst hostel experiences I’ve ever had. Sea Wolf Surf Hostel offers a prime beachfront location, ideal for beginner surfers. It’s situated in a smaller town a bit outside of Florianópolis city center, which gives it a laid-back, calm atmosphere—though nights can get a bit noisy. We stayed in a private room with a balcony. The room was small and simple, with lots of windows for natural light. The hostel is clean and has basic amenities like a kitchen and a simple working area. The social vibe is great, with friendly guests, though the crowd is generally a bit older.

The only downside was the price for the private room, which felt a bit high considering other more spacious options nearby. However, the location and social experience made it worth it overall.
