Rooms got a bit warm at night

Brilliant place to stay when visiting Port Macquarie for a few days…Emma checked us in at 1am after stepping off the bus, and couldn’t have been nicer through the stay.

Many happy and easy going staff members, mostly Maddy. Friendly place that looks alike a chalet for having fun. The hostel accepts older travelers. No camera and curiously we feel that everybody is honest ... even the doors of the rooms are often open. It is clean and the people are really cleaning their dishes.

Great to have a curtain to each bed, but it overs only 2/3 of one side of the bed .... but as everybody uses them, nobody sees the others faces when sleeping. Lockers (great) but the hole to enter a regular padlock is too small. Most toilets and the showers are in another near building... It is o.k. when it is warm outside.

I move a lot, and everytime i pass through Port Mac, i make sure i stop in this hostel to get my vibes high.

Good location, fun decor, lots of good hang out spaces, super friendly and helpful staff. The flocks of cockatoos and parrots in the trees were beautiful and hilariously noisy.

The atmosphere in this hostel is amazing. Everyone was so friendly and chill.

There were cockroaches in the kitchen, the bathrooms, as well as our room. We also found ants in the area were food was being prepared. Since this hostel is partly outside, it‘s kind of expected that there would be some animals but not cockroaches.
