After reading the reviews, I arrived expecting a much worse experience than what I actually found. In my opinion, the current rating does not reflect the reality of this hostel. The property was clean and well maintained throughout my stay. The room, bedding, bathrooms and common areas were all tidy, and the staff were friendly, welcoming and flexible. Wi-Fi worked well, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the dorms have only four beds, which makes for a much more comfortable stay than many larger hostels. I was also pleasantly surprised by the facilities: secure metal lockers with keys, a large terrace with beautiful coastal views, and a location just minutes from the beach. I noticed several reviews mentioning blocked shower drains. Having stayed in many seaside hostels, apartments and hotels, including higher-end properties, I can say this is a very common issue in coastal accommodation. Sand inevitably finds its way into drainage systems when guests return from the beach, and drainage systems are designed for water, not sand. For that reason, occasional drainage issues are not unique to this property and can be found at coastal accommodation of all standards. During my stay, however, the showers drained perfectly well and I experienced no problems at all. I would therefore encourage travellers to view this issue in the wider context of beachside accommodation rather than as a reflection of the overall quality of the hostel. For the price, especially considering the proximity to the ocean, I found it to be very good value. If, like me, you were hesitant because of the rating, I would suggest judging the place for yourself. It deserves considerably more credit than its current score suggests.

The location is perfect, few minutes to the beach, sunset view, restaurants and local shop very close. Very welcoming owner, made sure everything was good for the stay. Perfect place to reconnect from the world

Tive uma experiência muito positiva neste hostel. A equipa foi sempre extremamente simpática e acolhedora, fazendo-me sentir confortável desde o primeiro momento. As camas são muito confortáveis, perfeitas para descansar bem, e a vista é simplesmente magnífica. Foi uma estadia muito agradável e certamente um lugar que recomendaria.

No parecía completamente limpio, el aspecto principal era ese. Tal vez falta limpiar un poco más las paredes, la cortina del baño tenía hongos que con lixivia y un cepillo se pueden sacar o cambiar la cortina por una nueva.

Excelente comunicação em Outbound: deu-nos toda a info necessária para o melhor Check-in;

Comunicação em Inbound ignorada: Enviei-lhes um vídeo sobre a torneira do lavatório com pouca água. Ignorou; Enviei-lhes um audio sobre ausência de apoio mãos livres para chuveiro e sobre as toalhas de banho, que não estavam tão cheirosas a lavado como esperaria e sobre a TV do quarto, que esperaria que fosse só ligar ON para dar, mas pedia Busca de canais, etc, não vimos TV no quarto. Ignorou;

Owner didn’t comply to her word when she spoke to me on the phone and said she would confirm the no tax cancellation after I spoke to booking contact centre. She then never accepted the confirmation for Booking (twice they sent her in different times and up to 48h to confirm), never texted me back after viewing them or answered my calls until this day. I payed for a room that I never got to use, asked for a cancellation which the owner said yes to and in the end never got a refund. For me it’s more about her lack of communication and accountability for her actions. It’s the disrespect of treating others like this.
