Wonderful stay! A wellness spa retreat! Small comfortable cottages. Superlative care from the staff.. very friendly and polite! Cldnt ask for a more serene atmosphere and stay.

Nothing i didnt like!

Beautiful tranquil setting on the backwater at Cherai Beach. Sunrise and early evening delightful views of Chinese net fishing and boats. Rustic ambience with wooden/bamboo chalets. Tiled bathroom and shower. Comfortable but could do with new mosquito nets. Staff friendly and happy to help. The vegetarian food was well prepared, very tasty and plenty of it. Reception arranged tuktuk trips to the beach and restaurants along to coast - tuktuks are very cheap. There are opportunities on site for different massages and there is a local yoga centre nearby. The beach near the zchillioit Restaurant is clean and uncrowded. When tide is in it is calm, more biggerwaves when the tide is out. Suitable for swimming, but best not to go too far out.

There are not a lot of things to do. If you want tranquility, beach walks, sunsets and sunrises, good food you will enjoy it. Most restaurants or cafes do not serve alcohol. That is the same all over Kerala. We weren't that bothered, but it is worth knowing.

Perfect for a couple of days in total relax, and the staff was always kind and available. Very tasty traditional breakfast (don't expect international options). There is a terrace for yoga, and if you ask at the reception, they will arrange a yoga session with a qualified trainer. The ayurvedic massages at their spa were very nice. The garden is in front of the backwaters, a very good location with nice sunrises and view of the fishing nets. The beach is reached by a 10 minute's walk, as well as a fish restaurant on the road and a cafè with ocean view.

The cottage deluxe could use some renovation: new pillows and towels would be needed, and a repaired net for the mosquitos around the bed. While we found the price of the extra (massages, restaurant,...) ok, the Deluxe cottage was a bit expensive, but the price could be justified if renovated.
