. Beautiful spot but not value for money.

Definitely overpriced, well below what was expected for price. No toilet roll on arrival and welcome pack was sachets of milk, sugar and 1 biscuit pack, which had been handled on several occasions. Staff told untruths about hot tub being cleaned, it was filthy on arrival. Beautiful spot but not value for money.

Very peaceful and comfortable. Staff so kind and helpful.

Quite a strong ‘dog smell’ in the lounge area (carpet) but as it’s dog friendly this was to be expected. Only gripe really and it wasn’t a big issue.

"It was an awesome holiday."

It was an excellent holiday. So peaceful especially when we travel from London. So nature friendly. We were a group of 3 families including 5 kids and every one enjoyed the stay . Will recommend this place to anyone who loves to spend some time peacefully with the nature. Looking forward to book our next trip soon.Thank you so much for the hospitality.

"Wonderful, calm and tranquil."

Beautiful location. Tranquil. Lovely walks. Pub and shops a drive away. We also went to Barnstaple and hired bikes. The bike hire was on the Tarka trail No roads. Lots of birds. The Blue tits pecked on the window, so we put some treats out for them. The Robin comes to your hand and eats from your palm. Wonderful experience.

We struggle with getting adequate, continuous hot water for a bath and the shower. We have left a message with the lodge to advise as this may be a new fault.
