Calm Waters Waterfront Cottages

BBQ and fire pit with firewood available onsite was fantastic

The fact you pay top dollar and have to supply your own towels.

The property was cute with high ceilings creating a sense of space. Bedrooms were big and spacious.

Nothing to dislike

The location is really good and the decoration of this old cottage is done quite tastefully. There is a large yard at the front for the kids to play. The front views are good.

We were greeted by two wild cockroaches crawling over the kitchen top and there were two large spider webs where the tv was hung. The floor was not properly cleaned, there was so much dirt under the sofa and the kitchen duct was blocked. So on cleanliness, I would probably give them a 2/10. I didn't like that they don't offer towels. This is the basic offering of any hotel/cottage. I do not understand how they can just discharge themselves from basic hotel management offerings by just writing this on an email that bring your own towels. otherwise tata bye bye! The cottage is really old and the bathroom fittings are too outdated for the price they are charging. These cottages need major revamp but it looks like they are squeezing the last bit of juice out of it until they finally decide to renovate. The balcony floor is almost gone. There is no privacy to sit outside, it feels like you are sitting in your neighbour's lap. We came at night. The cars needs to be parked at the back of the cottage. There is just no light inside the property. We had to use mobile light to lit up the area to find our way in. The first impression of this place, at night, is very shady! I would have been a little less critical had the price was any lower but they charge big bucks and in return, they lack basic facilities. I guess, now is the time to match the price with their offering. Currently, the gap is too big!

Great location, spacious rooms and beautiful waterfront outlook. Very close to the Main Street as well so was convenient.

the cabins are old and dated. gaps in the floorboards make the room cold.

Watching the sunrise and sunset from this cottage (#3) was incredible. The fire pit was greatly appreciated after the sun went down. The location is great. Peaceful and right near town. Our cottage was very clean.

The cottages are dated, as is the furniture. The water pressure in the shower was terrible but there was a bath in our cottage which is what I opted for in the morning. There is no dishwasher and only one split air conditioner in the cottage.
