"Bit of a money grab"

3.0

I booked for two nights ahead of a long India visit before my rental was ready. As luck would have it, my flight was hours late, so I arrived at HP at 4am, having been told they’d have staff around the clock. Dark and deserted, I waited on my suitcase in the driveway until 7am for my first ‘night’ until someone appeared. Had I booked for just the one night, I would have had about 3 hours in a room. A nice gesture WOULD have been to offset the night by some percentage if you cared about a guest but no such luck. I paid $160 usd for two nights. On leaving, I was waiting at the road for my taxi and an employee drove down the driveway on a scooter to ask if I paid 150 rupees for the coffee I took earlier that morning (I did assume it was a comp). Felt very much like a money grab, sorry to say.

Damp dark far from beach asked for a refund and didn’t get one. Staff was nice but accommodation was not acceptable and high price for what was given

Smell of mold and dark room felt like a jail

"A peaceful stay and retreat away from the hustle of Arombol but we were unlucky with their organisation"

8.0

The property felt very peaceful nestled in nature and with a beautiful yoga studio which got the morning light. A lovely food menu but 80% unavailable at the time we were staying.

We were moved 3 times in the space of 5 days and when we asked for compensation they could only offer 50% for the night that we had slept in a room which was considerably lower standard than we booked. The team tried to be as accommodating as possible with some free drinks which was sweet but it was disappointing seeing as we were paying quite a large amount.

It was quiet at night for Indian circumstances. People were nice.

Room wasn’t clean, specially the bathroom and bed sheets… not workshops or community hang out happened as it looked like online… The stay was okay but for this level of quality a little bit over priced

The grounds are lovely and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the communal nature of the property

As a female solo traveller, I had a real issue with the location. It is quite remote and far away from the rest of the tourist-friendly places in Mandrem which made the 15 minute walk to the beach very uncomfortable - men slowed down their cars and bikes to stare at me, talk to me and even follow me. Everything else about the property was great but just a word of warning if you are travelling alone as a western woman!

"The hosts were kind enough to understand our problems however like i felt misled and cheated."

5.0

The fact that it’s super green and it offers vegan food and an open space to practice yoga. There is open space outside the room and a comfy hammock to drink your coffee / read a book.

The property photos did not match the rooms we stayed in. I’ve shared the photos of what was advertised vs what we stayed in. One of the two rooms had a foul smell in the bathroom. Cleaning was not offering on day 2 of our stay Amenities like TV unit and kettle were not provided We paid 3k/ night for each room and which is why this was not worth it,pis a 15 min walk from the beach and you can find better rooms by the beach for lesser price. This place is not a fit for families to stay in. It’d be best for solo travellers that was to meet fellow yogis but ofcourse at a better price point.

"Exceptional"

10.0

The property has a lovely natural vibe with plenty of greenery around, which makes it feel peaceful and relaxing. The best part is that the beach is just a short walk away, so it was easy to go for morning strolls or catch the sunset in the evening. The food was definitely a highlight – fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. The host was really polite and friendly, always checking in to see if we needed anything, but never being intrusive. They made the stay comfortable and enjoyable with their warm hospitality.

My stay was a truly a rejuvenating experience that left me feeling refreshed and revitalized. Being surrounded by lush greenery made me feel incredibly close to nature. The peaceful ambiance was palpable, and I felt my worries melting away with each passing moment. The vegan cuisine at Hippie paws Wellness Resort restaurant was exceptional! But what truly made my stay special was the exceptional staff. They were warm, caring, and attentive to every need. From helpful recommendations to thoughtful gestures, they made me feel truly valued. Other highlights included: -yoga sessions -Aerial yoga (my first time experiencing it!) This honestly exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're seeking a tranquil retreat with delicious vegan options and outstanding hospitality, this is the best place to go Would I return? Absolutely!"

"Rejuvenating, and a much needed break from work."

10.0

It's rare you find such a relaxing hub right at one of the hearts of the city, with access to all hot spots. The staff is great and cordial, and there's some event or the other (aerial yoga to meditation evenings) prioritising your wellness while keeping you engaged in Goa. Plus, the vegan options span everything, and they have cute doggos keeping company!

They are still expanding so there could be things some might prefer that's not available yet.
