Down South 118 Beach Resort

Stayed here recently and the standout feature was the fantastic ocean view - absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. Food was decent and serviceable, though nothing memorable. No major complaints overall - would return for the views alone!

The AC unit was noticeably loud, which disrupted sleep at times. Room could also benefit from some air freshener to elevate the ambiance.

The best staff! Always with a smile 😁 and ever ready to help book transport and trips. Restaurant service quick and easy with reasonable prices. We booked the whale watching (also Sumilon Island) through the hotel, who made the early morning reservation and included tuktuk / drivers who led us through the crowd as well as met us afterwards for the short trip back 😀 HOTEL is well located just south of Oslob Town and good for the local attractions - Tumalog Falls 20mins - Must See!

スタッフの方々がチェックイン前からさまざまな相談に乗ってくださり、滞在中もアポイントメントの時間の確認をしてくださったりとホスピタリティに溢れていました。 ジンベイザメツアーについて、日本から予約可能なセブシティやマクタン島発着のツアーではなく、オスロブ発着で探したいと相談したところ、快く引き受けてくださり、とてもお手頃な価格で待ち時間もほぼなく楽しむことができました。ホテルのスタッフの方々が現地と送迎組と別れ事前に手配してくださっているおかげでした。オスロブの他のホテルにいくつも問い合わせしましたが、このような手配をしてくださるホテルは見つからず、このホテルの空室に合わせて日程を組んだほどでした。本当に素敵な思い出をありがとうございました。 また食事もお手頃な価格で美味しくボリュームもあり、とても満足しました。 お部屋はおしゃれで落ち着く内装で、隅々まで掃除が行き届いていました。ベッドも寝心地抜群です。 海の見える場所にある二人乗りブランコで子供達も楽しく遊べ、また海へのアプローチもよく、海水を流すための水道やレストランからのトイレなども清潔に保たれており、またぜひ訪れたいホテルです。

無理矢理良くない点を探すなら、唯一タオルがかなり年季が入ってました。他が素晴らしいだけに変に気になりましたが、海などで濡れてしまった際にはフロントで交換してくださったりとサービス面では不満は全くありませんでした。

It really gives you the feeling of a 'resort', as you can see most of the elements a resort would provide. The view is quite good and you can lie down on the coach in open air in the public area to enjoy sunshine. It is possible to go snorkeling just by the stairs into the sea from the resort, although you won't be seeing anything interesting (no coral reef, just sea grass and small fish). But this property does give you the feeling of going on a vacation where you can take a rest.

The reason we booked this hotel was that through communications on booking.com, it told us that it could help to book the tour for whale shark watching without having to queue - I believe most of the guests chose this hotel based on this reason (otherwise the resort is just located in nowhere). However, when we arrived, we learnt that the reservation for whale shark was not guaranteed, and unfortunately the reservation for us was not successful due to too many reservations, so we had to get up at 3:30 am., departing the hotel at 3:50 am., arriving at the whale shark watching point at 4:10 am., and then proceeded with the walk-in registration and waited in a tent for another 3 hours. Although the experience was worth it, I would appreciate if the hotel could have told me in the first place that the reservation could not be guaranteed and is based on best-effort so there is a chance that guests have to queue just like others. The location is a bit far from everything. This gives the advantage of being quiet, while if you want to go to the mall or a restaurant you'll have to take a tricycle.

This is quite a small property but the rooms look straight out onto the water I was downstairs and could open my door and see the sunrise and sunset It was great. The hotel arranged for my transfer to whale shark watching which made it very easy. I travel solo so it was also nice that there is a nice restaurant on site .it made my trip to Oslob really enjoyable .i chose this place to stay for two nights rather than take a tour from Cebu city which left at 3 in the morning to get to the whale sharks . By staying here I just got up at 5.30.

It was small but beautiful if you want to watch sunrise 😀

Very clean and comfortable bed, pillow and linens…the room smell nice and the room is secured!
