Peachland Beach Resort

We go to Davis Cove every year. Its close to other attractions around town and has a beautiful view.

This year we rented Cabin 16 from July 13-17th. The place was infested with small flying bugs all around the windows, and ceiling corners filled spider webs full of these bugs. Every morning we got up to more of them all over the ceilings. There was no water in the entire resort our last day. We were not warned prior to this. The notice they had left about the water was dated for July 10th. To top it off the water wasn't back until I complained which was 5 hours after the notice time. Staff were very apologetic but did not do anything anything else to help. It was as if they were waiting for someone to say something first. Very disappointed and won't recommend this location to friends or family.

Issues with check in but it was all good

The location can't be beat. Right on the water and close to the highway exits. The cabin itself was well appointed and had everything we needed (except toilet paper).

There was a screen door which was damaged and just lying on the rear deck when we got there. There was only 1 half roll of toilet paper for a 6 night stay and one of the bedroom doors was missing the door knob. The onsite managers were not on site during our entire stay so I never heard back from them and had to go purchase our own product. Not a huge deal but for what they charge a night you expect more. I will say, we have stayed at this location a number of times and usually the managers are very responsive and great to deal with. This may have been a one off. The neighbour next to us in cabin 7 liked to have morning phone conversations on her back deck everyday. Wouldn't be a big deal but they were an hour or so long each day, were on speaker phone and she likes to talk very loudly. Not a great way to try and enjoy your deck watching the sun rise. That was a bit rude. Overall, this particular stay wasn't as enjoyable as in the past, especially considering the cost, which seems to be getting a bit over the top.

It’s a beautiful property and the view from our deck was awesome. The unit was very clean and the grounds were very well maintained.

The beds seemed small for queen, more like double. The couch was not very comfortable and the wifi was very slow at times. We never got a code for the door or instructions on how to check in. When we got there it took 2 texts and four calls before we finally got a hold of someone. We saw similar situations with 2 other couples. Not sure if this was a communication failure with Booking.com or the property but all 3 of us booked through Booking.com.
