Cabilao Sanctuary Beach & Dive Resort

The food was excellent they have an exceptional chef, It was an idyllic setting perfect for relaxing and romance.

My visit to Cabilao Resort in the Philippines was an amazing experience in every way. The atmosphere was excellent and a big thank you to the reception staff, the restaurant staff, and to Sir Julien and Roni in Cabilao Divers Center. I was very happy with my visit to this resort and I hope to visit it again. The diving was an excellent experience, without a doubt.

Incredible value-for-price. Especially in low season. Top tier performance, extraordinary food and quality despite at times being almost the only guests. The diving nearby is excellent, very calm and friendly dive master. The restaurant is superb. Don't worry you can pay everything at the end as room charge with credit card. For us 4 days was the perfect time to experience all highlights at least once. The transfer package and bohol tour may be a little pricy, but took a lot of organizing load off our shoulders (and gets cheaper the bigger the group, it's a group price) so was absolutely worth it. If you stay in cebu/bohol I suggest you adjust your trip to be able to stay here.

Some may critique that wifi does not reach (at least our) room. For us that was perfectly fine to wind down.

The location is perfect. Highly recommended for those looking for relaxation and disconnect from the bustling routine of city dwelling. Everyone in the team was really kind and helpful. The short snorkeling trip was great - really amazing views of the marine life, super recommended for scuba and free diving. The food was great, everything was delicious. What really struck us from the place was the quietness and peaceful atmosphere we were immersed on during our stay. Totally worth it.

At first the Resort organized a private transport from the port in Tagbilaran to the pier perfectly. At the pier there was a boat already waiting for us and it brought us to the Island Cabilao. The boat ride took around 20 minutes and we had a nice view on Bohol and also Cabilao. We saw a few fish jumping next to the boat. After we had arrived at the Resort beach we got a lovely welcoming with cold ice tea! The reception asked for our passport and did the check in by their own so that we could relax with our welcome drink. After the drink they showed us our rooms. The luggage had already been brought into our rooms The rooms are really cozy. A big bed, enough space for your clothes and of course aircon. The bathroom are okay. Small but enough and of course clean! They cleaned our rooms and bathrooms everyday. On the way to the rooms there is a tiny garden with beautiful local plants. The restaurant was also really good. A lot different meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also good food options for vegetarians. There is not much to say about the location. It's a beautiful small island in the Philippines. Crystal clear water from turquoise to blue. What else do you want more? Stunning sun sets behind the mountains of cebu maybe? Or the chance to see dolphins with the first sunlight? Both is possible. We did an snorkeling trip and said to the boat captain that we want to see a turtle. The captain brought us to a site and after a few minutes snorkeling we saw a turtle. Thank you!! All in all I can't find anything which I didn't like. Maybe the beach is a bit small, but didn't bother us. All of the staff was amazing. They are really attentive, friendly and helpful. Thank you for the amazing time. I'm sure we will come back. I can highly recommend this Resort.

A picturesque island, very well-kept hotel grounds, friendly and welcoming staff.

We spent 4 days at the hotel and during that time we were the only visitors. The internet didn't not work in the rooms, we needed to go to the pool. Lots of mosquitoes that seeped into the room. If you are a lover of tasty and healthy food, and also have stomach issues- this place is not suitable for you. What kind of food could be on an island where there is only one visitor to the hotel per week? There is nothing on the island to see, buy or eat. Prices for food in the restaurant and transfer to and from the island are astronomical. Diving is overpriced.

Absolute great Hotel - Staff were amazing throughout. Food is good (a bit salty for our taste but good). We spent 9 days there which is a bit long since there is not so much to do but we found it very relaxing. Snorkeling right in front of the hotel, went diving a few times (nice corals and turtles, barracuda etc), and enjoyed the salt water pool with our kids aged 2,7,11.

Some folks might be upset that there is no wifi in some room but we loved it. Restaurant area has great wifi. Everything else was perfect.
