Lintang Luku Tent Resort Ijen, Banyuwangi

The architecture and design are impeccable. It's a cool place to hang out. The tent itself was comfortable and modern. We appreciated the vegan options at the restaurant (Java is not easy for vegans). My partner liked the spa. They helped us with Ijen transport and pointed us to a local doctor for the Ijen health certificate.

Don't let this bigger block of text discourage you, it's a nice place. The same environmental issues here as the rest of Indonesia. It's not a respite from the smoky air and certainly not from the calls to prayer. The local "pre-dawn" amplified assault is at 3:40am for an hour or more. Where I come from that's "the middle of the night." Our view was agriculture. Walking the property, the only tents that seem tucked in the trees are Binar 5, 6, and 7. You have to request that the staff turn off the lights outside your tent at night. I didn't like that I had to tell them when I was going to bed. There should be a switch.

Amazing place. Service like in 5 star hotels. Good food. Fantastic view, hot water, clean. Everything is perfect. I spent 1 nights - want more!

Maybe could use black out curtains if you want to sleep in but they provided complimentary sleep masks which was fine!
