Mimpi Resort Menjangan

Staff were lovely and very kind. My wife had an injured leg and they were very helpful. The restaurant has a lovely view over the inlet with boats going in and out a lot of the time. There are well-kept gardens all around. As I am into bird photography, Mimpi is very well situated for this with a local bird guide just down the road, whom I would recommend.

There is a bit of a hike down to the restaurant which was a bit of an issue for the wife but they produced a wheelchair which we used to get her there and back. The area around Mimpi is not that developed and rather rural. Not an issue for us but don't expect well-kept roads and local shops to peruse!

Great activities, out of the world underwater activities

The food in the restaurant were a bit too "westernized". I would have loved more local options but the resorts' clientele presumably prefers differently.

This is the first time I’ve stayed at Mimpi, and I’m sure I will come back again. Everything here feels so peaceful and close to nature. People speak in a slow, calming voice, and every day is filled with smiles from everyone. The swimming and spa facilities are perfect, with a great view. The hotel’s restaurant is exceptionally good. Because I stayed for many days, I was able to try a wide variety of dishes from the menu—nothing ever disappointed, and all the chef’s specials were outstanding. The staff are very friendly and respectful; they made my stay easy and comfortable. As a solo traveller, I felt completely safe here :) I’d say this is an absolutely perfect stay for anyone who wants to relax, be close to nature, and enjoy good food :)

One minor downside is that some rooms are adjacent, so noise from neighbours can occasionally be noticeable if they are loud. Another small drawback for solo travellers is that many activities arranged by the hotel require at least two people. That said, there are plenty of other places to book activities, so it’s not really a big issue.

Мне все понравилось, очень красивая территория. Очень красивый ресторан . Хорошие завтраки. Комфортные номера. Много бассейнов.

Не понятно, как работают теплые бассейны и циркулирует ли вода. Они были выключены.

Large swimming pool in the middle of the resort with warm water (mix of regular water and hot spring water, plus clean pool towels), natural hot springs pools near resto (pools area and water were clean and water comfortably hot (maybe due to open to sky and breezes from the bay, so water was not as super hot as the back pool).

Patio room (no. 224) is not well soundproofed ( I could hear people in next room talking in ordinary conversation voice). Natural hot spring pool at the back (near patio rooms) was not clean (lots of dead animal and things in the pool water). Food at breakfast and room service can be improved (fried rice and fried noodle a little bit tasteless), but please don't use MSG to make them taste better, just use more appropriate spices.
