4S Hotel Dahab

I arrived at the hotel and was upgraded to an executive suite free of charge. The suite had 3 beds, bathroom, kitchen, dining area and a sofa. The balcony faced the swimming pool. Upon arrival i ordered food and was impressed. The portions were generous and the food was cooked very well. It is probably one of the best places i have eaten at. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was a 10 minute walk to the centre. I say 10 minutes but it didn't feel like it. Dahab is a lovely place to visit with lots of to do.

This is not a negative but just highlighting there are no irons at the hotel. My advice is to iron your clothes or bring a travel iron. However, there are laundry facilities nearby that you can use. The charges are very cheap and I ended up getting my clothes pressed and washed throughout my stay. The rooms are outdated in terms of the bathroom tiles and some of the furnishings. However, bedding was clean and fresh. I think with a coat of paint and just having some of the fixtures replaced would make the rooms more attractive. I would like to highlight that these are not negatives but just things I think people should know. The service was outstanding and I would definitely stay here again.

Although the hotel is a little run down, the room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Rafa. The food from the restaurant was basic, but outstanding for the price. It's a shame they stop serving at 5 pm as I would have eaten from there later, as well as at breakfast and lunch time. There was a language barrier as the staff's English is limited. The inclusive breakfast, again was basic, but ok. There is no alcohol on the premises but Ramssis shop on the main street, about 5 minutes away, is open 24 hours and sells alcohol and basic groceries. The pool is clean and was quiet most days.

Depending where you want to go it is a bit of a walk to the tourist areas - but I picked it because it is half way between the light house and Laguna beach
