Tenuta Tropeano

We chose this hotel because it was outside Tropea (the centre is car free) but we could either drive close or the hotel organised a taxi for us which could go right to the centre. Situated above Tropea with lovely views of the sea breakfast on the shady terrace was excellent, fruit, pastries and lots of cooked options. We also ate dinner at the hotel twice which was delicious - the aubergine parmigiana is not to be missed! Rooms were spotless and a good size. Super comfy beds. Ester, Cristina and Angelo Tropeano who own and run this hotel are amazing, they organised our days (beach club, restaurant bookings) and cooked our meals. They were always around to help and nothing was too much trouble. We even had a little breakfast box as we left early on the last morning. We loved this place and would love to come back and stay here for longer another time

Amazing little hotel with a lot of Charme. Superb service and cooking. Poolside was great, towels were provided. Looking forward to visit again.

Only the WiFi speed was rather slow in the room. Not a deal breaker on holidays but could have been if I needed to work. Thankfully cellular reception is good at the location as a workaround.

The breakfast was amazing and the location is perfect.

Small family run intimate boutique hotel away from the tourist hustle and yet only 8 minutes from central Tropea. Angelo and his sisters are fantastic hosts providing an expansive breakfast and all assistance necessary to find local tours, boat hire, beaches and restaurants. Pool and grounds are a welcome respite after a busy day of touring. Keep it in the family and go to La Pergola restaurant one of the best seafood restaurants in the area with its own parking and only a short walk into Tropea old town.

Nothing to complain about.

The most beautiful hotel set against a stunning backdrop. The staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to help with whatever we needed and everyone was so friendly, nothing ever felt like an inconvenience! Tenuta Tropeano really make you feel at home. The breakfast is delicious with so many options and the pool is beautiful and perfect for a lounge day.

It’s slightly further out of town than we expected but again, the staff were so accommodating helping us figure out transport, booking taxis for us and also renting bikes for us that it was never really an issue.

The property was modern with fantastic views over the sea. It was in a quite spot outside the buzz of Tropea but still within 5 minutes drive to the town centre and several beautiful beaches.

It was all perfect and the staff was amazing.

This is a little hidden gem nestled away from the main part of Tropea. The staff, especially Angelo are extremely helpful and warm. With on-site parking and pool it’s a great location without needing to leave. Recently completed rooms are very well done!

Cute place, lovely staff, super friendly, clean and contemporary rooms. Breakfast was amazing! Location is great as its away from crowds but close enough to everything. highly recommended.
