Friendly Koh Jum

The place was quite quiet. The bungalow was nice, made of wood, and surrounded by beautiful plants and greenery.

Not having a window in a place like the bathroom, which really needs constant ventilation, doesn’t make much sense. On the first night, I felt cold because there was no blanket. When I asked at the reception, they told me that a large, yellowed towel-like item was supposed to be the blanket. If you work online, the Wi-Fi barely works. The name of the place includes the word “friendly,” but the owners were not really friendly. They weren’t unfriendly either, but definitely not friendly, which feels contradictory to the name.

Nepůsobily na mne dobře deky na přikrytí bez povlečení. Ručníky které nesály a nechávaly na těle modré kousky. Bungalov byl starší než bungalovy kolem. Zamykáni na zámek. Za náš krátký pobyt se pod námi zlomila židle a upadl schod do bungalovu. Naštěstí se nic nestalo.

Fantastic host, great location, wonderful food

The bungalow was really beautiful, with fridge and kettle, very cozy and a nice terrace with foot-shower at the stairs, very good communication with the owner on the app, perfect taxi service.

Small things that make the difference between "a nice place" and "really feeling at home". A really uncomfortable hammock on the terrace, the fan that just didn't have any effect through the mosquito net, so I had to wrap the net around the fan, the last step of the entrance stair was loose and not fixed, which is dangerous, the welcoming speech "if you break the kettle you have to pay for it". Of course I do... Relatively expensive breakfast which was OK, but not really too good. Why is all this necessary? These "small details" spoil a lot, at least for me.

Location not far from the beach but tucked away in nature. Food is very good at the restaurant.

The bathroom really needs a better ventilation system and replacement of toilet seat. Made the experience unpleasant. The bed would need an upgrade as well as its worn off.

Bodde i bungalow med aircondition. Helt underbar uteplats med härlig trädgård, fåglar o fjärilar. Blev hämtad vid piren när vi anlände. Trevlig ägare som hjälpte till med bokning av nästa dags transport vidare. Frukost fanns att köpa.

What a gem! Stay here, you won’t regret it 😊 We had a fan-room but it was absolutely okay without AC at night. The bungalow was beautiful and authentic, with a big balcony with a hammock, the garden around is even more beautiful. Very relaxing place, good food in the restaurant for fair prices, friendly staff. It’s a 5-10min walk to the beach where you barely come across other people. From the pier they pick you up on arrival and also on return if you book onwards boat through them. By foot you can also go to other beaches such as Magic Beach or Golden beach. Friendly also offers bicycles and motorbikes for rent. Koh Jum overall has a very relaxed and laidback atmosphere, not overrun by tourists yet. We would love to return!

Absolutely nothing :)

Le personnel est accueillant, serviable et très sympathique, avec deux petits chats et chien adorables. Le restaurant est très bon et l’emplacement est idéal. L’île de Joh Jum est très paisible.

La literie est assez vieille et pas du tout confortable, le logement est plutôt sombre avec une salle de bain rustique. Le toit de la salle de bain fuyait et nous avons eu la visite de quelques cafards dans celle-ci…
