Deshadan Eco Valley Resort - An Eco friendly Mud House

We stayed on the property for 3 days. The stay was awesome the property is located in a remote location with an excellent view and a beautiful garden. It is easy to access, roads are in good condition. Rooms: We stayed in the Superior Mountain View room, the room was neat and spacious with 3 beds, writing table, self , kettle, and toiletries .( same as mentioned and shown in pictures). SMART TV with excellent WIFI connectivity (with uninterrupted streaming ). Which is great. The view from the Private Balcony was great ( you will get the same view as shown in the pictures). Food : The food was delicious, especially BBQ Chicken and BBQ Fish was awesome. The complimentary breakfast was good (bread, dosa, idle, egg, cereals, fresh juice, etc..). We need to book dinner in the evening itself. There is little delay in preparing food since they prepare everything fresh, it's quite understandable and worth the wait (for the taste). Staff: Very friendly staff always with a smile. Big hats off to them for making our stay memorable. (unfortunately, I forget their names ) Activities : On request, they will arrange a Jeep (we can't use our own vehicle for sightseeing in Kanthalloor, Marayoor because of the terrain 4x4 vehicle is a must) for local sightseeing, a private waterfall visit, and a night safari (of course at extra cost, but the pricing is decent comparing to others ). Best time to Visit: August to February for the best experience, we visited in the month of October the weather was at its best it was drizzling, chill, and misty. Tip: The superior mountain view is quite better than the one-bedroom villa (which costs more), it comes with a private balcony where you can sit and enjoy the view. More privacy than a One-bedroom villa.

The style of the property and the climate. The staff is good and friendly . It is too far from the town.

The food. The room is made in ancient style. But, it may be unsafe for kids. The furnitures are haing sharp edges.

break fast was just ok. may be they have done better. no tea or coffee. they have very minimalistic staffing, that's the reason for all these

room was not clean, cats were sleeping in the balcony. we have to wait for 45 minutes to get our room. it works on generator - frequent power off

There was no privacy between rooms and the people adjacent to out room were playing very loud music which was ultimately noise and they did not stop until late night. Even in the common area also they were playing loud music. We asked to staff also but they were unable to convince them because they were drunk. So I would suggest that someone with Family or couple planning to go to this property please don’t plan.
