Baan Boom Boxes Eco Friendly Resort

Where do I begin? great place, very calm, very relaxing, clean air, nice garden, beautiful and clean pool .. but what makes this place really exceptional is its host; the family that owns it and runs it. They are exceptionally kind and caring people. Would definitely come back .. in fact we met people who stay there for months!

Set in an ice garden

This is very unique and beautiful place. In amongst nature and away from the razzmatazz of the resort experience. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast served at table was more than adequate with fresh fried eggs, happy toasts, home made jams and fresh fruit and juice. Coffee and tea is available on a help yourself basis 24/7. We stayed in room 4 which we loved. The view across the field on one side and the garden on the other was delightful and a joy to try and identify the many birds and butterflies. We had a rooftop patio with rain shower, sun-bed and views across the landscape and the dark skies at night. Our bed was big and comfortable with beautiful linens. The bathroom came with supplies of soap and shampoo and had a both a rain and hand shower with plenty of hot water. The room also had a mini kitchen with sink, basic utensils and kettle. A really useful space if ordering food in. Netflix etc on TV but for us was unused. We used the pool in the garden and found it lovely amongst the trees and flowers. All together Baan Boom was a perfect stay.

We loved it but for some it may be little too far out. We hired a car through the hotel so we could get about. A scooter would be fine too.

Tranquil location in a tropical garden, close to the beach, comfortable room, nice, helpful staff.

The upper terrace of the queen rooms we stayed in could use some maintenance.

It was calm and peaceful. The morning view from room 2B was great. Just come and see it for yourself!

A bit of a smell in the bathroom.

The Baan Boom Boxes are a quiet oasis about a 10-15 minute drive from beaches, restaurants, and shops. A 7 minute drive inland from the main road, you are surrounded by beautiful nature! The resort is very secluded and there are no street (or tourist) noises - only the sounds of the island wildlife (and some of the cats that live on the property:). The rooms are private and air conditioned, while the entire facility practices a very sustainable way of living. We stayed for 10 nights and recommend the boxes to anyone looking to have an incredible experience on the island of Koh Samui!

The only note we have about the property is that if you travel by grab or taxi - you have to clarify they should drive up the 4169 for as long as possible and not cut through the island. There’s a road that connects the property to more southern parts of the island but the road is steep and only suitable for motor bikes.
