Casa Freya

We spent New Year’s Eve there, 3 nights in total, and it was an overall wonderful experience. We booked the Maia room, which is one of their most luxurious, offering a full-frontal view to towards the Caraiman peaks. We had basically a heated floor for the very large room, some central heating, a large king-size comfortable bed, two armchairs, a couch, etc. The facilities were also in great condition, and everything was very clean. The included breakfast was not the best in the world, but they did have the basic variety that you’d expect. They also had a very large private car park right next to the lodgings which was extremely convenient, especially since it was very cold outside in late December.

The staff was very friendly overall and was very responsive and respectful in most cases. We did have a small situation where after a blistering cold outside (-18 degrees C) following what was essentially a blizzard, they cut off the central heating to our room the next day because there was a bit of sunlight. I had to call them and insist a bit for them to turn the heating back on to the max.

Very good location. With amazing mountains view. Near Cantacuzino castle. 15 min walk from railway station. In a very quite zone.

A fost pur și simplu minunat! Sincer, ne-am simțit ca la niște prieteni acasă. Gazda este atât de primitoare și caldă, încât din primul moment te face să te relaxezi și să te bucuri de ședere. Camera a fost impecabil de curată și foarte îngrijită, se vede atenția la detalii și grija pentru confortul oaspeților. Micul dejun a fost fresh și delicios, pregătit cu multă atenție, iar staff-ul extrem de implicat, atent și mereu dornic să ajute. A fost una dintre acele experiențe din care pleci cu zâmbetul pe buze și cu dorința sinceră de a reveni. Recomand din toată inima această cazare!

The balcony rooms with mountain view is exceptional! The check in process was very smooth and the staff were very helpful and accommodating! The room was clean and facilities were excellent - we were also provided with recommendations of local spots to try for food! We had to check out before breakfast was available and the hotel provided us with a packed breakfast bag which was such a lovely touch! Casa Freya was the perfect hotel to stay in for a relaxing break in Busteni! Casa Freya should definitely be on your list! Myself and my partner would have loved to stay an extra day or two and would 100% return!
