The accommodations were amazing; the team was wonderful, and the dive center + camera room was top notch. I appreciated conversations with marine biologist, students, snd sustainability/environmental science intern. Given the extensive plastics crisis in Indonesia, I would have loved to have had opportunities to learn more about efforts and how tourists can both use their buying power and their time to further contribute to these efforts. Tourism often contributes to environmental challenges, and knowing that we can have a positive impact on local environments means something. I hope Coral Eye continues to present an honest dialogue and opportunities to give back as they continue to evolve from former marine outpost to dive resort.

We stayed in a bungalow. It was perfect and beautifully appointed with lots of outlets, hooks, and flat surfaces for your things. Also, great air conditioning. Water dispenser in room with hot and cold (tea/coffee too). Our bathroom was beautiful with one open air shower and one covered. Everything was really clean. Restaurant was fantastic. Loren the chef is amazing. House reef is terrific. Snorkelling/dive staff were accommodating and professional. Boats were clean and new. Beach is beautiful to walk. Grounds were lush and well kept. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Well run operation. Great all around. Highly recommend.

Sad we couldn't stay forever:) Can't wait to go back!

My wife and I spent 8 nights at the Coral Eye Resort at Bangka island in September 2024. We resort is beautiful, located on the best beach of Bangka and the house reef is simply amazing, easily accessible and perfect for snorkeling ! All the staff are super friendly and do everything they can to make your stay at the resort the best possible and to meet your requests. Special mention to the food which was always really good !! Thank you from Massimo and Sofia !

Snorkeling tours are expensive in our opinion and not always as beautiful as the house reef of the resort itself.

Great Location, very friendly staff, great food. Excellent snorkeling from the beach. We also liked the big community table for meals. It brought guests together and ceated a special camaraderie.

The staff and managers incredibly lovely and helpful people. The food is very very good and they have put a lot of thought into it. The location and the house reef are just perfect! We can definitely recommend the Coral Eye!

Unfortunately, we had a lot of insects in the villa, but that is unavoidable in the middle of an island! However, a mosquito net would be helpful :) If you depend on good internet, you might not be in the right place here, as the place is very remote.

a perfect resort, on a perfect island. great service, staff and rooms, amazing diving, lovely running trail to village behind, kindly welcoming locals and we left as friends, and there were tears!! Carolin was the most amazing person. I really appreciated how they upgraded us when I got the booking wrong, and booked one less night so kind and the villa is incredible. We also loved the visit to Tangkoko which my husband did twice. This is easy to organise, and the wildlife and the photos my husband took were incredible.

its hard to get to and you therefore perhaps need longer than 7 days - next time ill go through Singapore. Bali was a nightmare-check in was so stressful as they were so slow, people pushed in so we nearly missed our flight. Whilst lion air was fine it stops in Makassar and so takes forever. With the visit to Tangkoko, the boat trip straight there was better than the boat then car. However Im glad we went early I think the afternoon session got cancelled because of high winds.

Absolutely everything! I wouldn’t change a bit! there isn’t any picture o video able to give it justice…it must be seen and lived!

This was exceptional, from the moment you arrive all staff is there to make sure you have the best time of your life. The rooms are beautiful, especially when you focus on the details and workmanship (beautiful wood, comfortable bed, very nice ingenious shower, a lot of storage space). The house reef is beautiful with very nice coral and a lot of different fish species. The staff is just amazing, very friendly and knowledgable with regards to hospitality. The food was just amazing, Italian Indonesian fusion cuisine with a very refined taste. Also good options for people who eat vegan/vegetarian. The diving here was very nice as well, Randy and Jek, thanks for your kindness and sharing your knowledge while diving. You all are very special.

At first glance (when booking) you might think the prices are on the high end. Only when you arrive and experience this place you know that this is not true at all. You get what you pay for and even more.
