Eagles Palace - Small Luxury Hotels of the World

The property is amazing, beautiful and peaceful. The gardens are lovely. The breakfast is exceptional. Location is good, it is easy drive to the village and parking is convenient. Everything is as you are in a paradise, but...

...the staff is quite surprising to be honest.... for this kind of hotel, the staff should be impeccable, and it is far from it. I found myself at the reception quite a few times. The housekeeping is coming to the room whenever, some days they wake you up, other days they don't come till late afternoon. It seems that they are understaffed. Another thing, they bring beach towels after 9am, so if someone wants to swim before that they don't have a towel. All this is not a big deal, but it just makes me feel like everything is average, and the surroundings are not average, it is beautiful.

We recently stayed at Eagles Palace in Halkidiki and had a truly memorable experience. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional care and attention we received from the General Manager, Vasileios Kapetanos. He was incredibly visible and approachable throughout the hotel, making a genuine effort to connect with guests. His attentiveness and dedication to guest satisfaction were outstanding, and it really set the tone for our stay. The resort itself is beautifully maintained—clean, comfortable, and serene. The beds were particularly comfortable, and the food was consistently delicious across all dining venues.

While most of the staff were polite, we did find the service occasionally lacking in promptness and consistency. One minor downside was the absence of a kettle in our room, though we appreciated that the hotel provided a cot and steriliser, which made traveling with a young child much easier.

All in all, unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. Here are the reasons why: Once we first checked in, we weren’t given a room like it was displayed on booking. In addition, there were several bird nests on the roof ceiling of our balcony. After talking to hotel staff, we were assigned a different room (according to the hotel a free upgrade), which looked like the one on booking. However, this room with a smaller balcony had even more bird nests and therefore more bird poo all over the floor. This is in our opinion everything but 5 star standard, especially when charging such high rates. When brought up to hotel staff at the feedback was well received, however we do not think anything will change, since we were told that other guests like all the birds around the hotel and enjoy their breeding process (>> who enjoys bird poo, not even mentioning hygienic reasons).
