The owner is European and the influences show in the attention to detail and the food. After having nasi goreng on the breakfeast menu for two weeks straight this was a welcome change. Great vibe and the receptionist who spoke fluent English was simply amazing. We loved this place.

Everything about our stay was exceptional. It felt like being at a Zen retreat 24/7—peaceful, quiet, and incredibly tranquil. The views are breathtaking, and we genuinely felt no need to leave the property during our stay. The rooms are lovely and spacious. With so few villas, there’s a wonderful sense of exclusivity, and most of the time it feels as though you have the entire place to yourselves. We stayed in the pool view villa. The natural beauty of the surroundings is something special. Listening to the sounds of the forest and the island waking up each morning was magical. Watching the sunrise and sunset each day felt like a gift, and seeing so many bright stars and planets was amazing. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the staff. Every single team member—from reception and housekeeping to the chefs and waitstaff and security dogs -was outstanding. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made our experience unforgettable. They should all be highly commended. We didn’t have motorbikes, which made it a little more difficult to explore some of the surrounding restaurants. However, we were more than content dining at the resort, where the menu was very reasonably priced and good quality. Best nasi goreng in Bali :) There are also a few restaurants within walking distance for those who would like a change of scenery. Crystal beach is a very steep walk and we could not have returned by foot (we are 50 and average fitness) so instead we organised a driver to bring us back. We feel is nicer to visit crystal bay by boat than ashore. Apparently there is another beach next to crystal bay which is much quieter and peaceful which other guests discovered. This is a place that allows you to completely switch off, reconnect with nature, and appreciate the simple beauty of your surroundings. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our return
