Location was great, ammenities were great, and the staff was amazing.

The whole trip was very relaxing and not too far from home. The rooms were neat and clean and housed all of our family adequately. Our boys got to fish and our girls and kiddos got to play and relax!

Lovely view, fun things to do, great pizza onsite. Comfortable bed. Spacious apartment. Well appointed kitchen in our unit. Very clean.

The hot water heater for our unit wasn’t big enough for the needs of a family of 3. I couldn’t use the bathtub because there wasn’t enough hot water to fill the tub. The fixtures and furnishings were dated- although clean considering. The main bedroom needs more substantial curtains. The blinds failed to block the neighbors floodlight when they turned it on at 12am. Wi-fi was spotty. The hot tub was down for maintenance during our stay as well:(

The location and the cabins we stayed in were very clean and comfortable. All the staff we encountered were polite and professional. The lake views were very relaxing and peaceful.

We ate at the only restaurant at the resort,Pappas Dicks pizza. They made one of our pizzas wrong as we had ordered a simple two toping for the kids. They did not correct it but simply brought us a spoon to "scoop" off the topings we didn't order. We have children, and this pizza was ordered for them. My daughter tasted it and wouldn't eat it. I had to order her a grilled cheese sandwich. She was upset as she had to watch everyone else eat while they made her food. My older daughter didn't want to be rude and ate one slice where she could usually eat a whole small pizza by herself. I tasted the pizza that was incorrectly made, and it tasted horrible. We ended up only eating one slice. Our bill was over $75.00 for 3 soda, 2 small pizzas, a water, and a grilled cheese sandwich. My husband and I had one shot from the bar. When I paid the bills, I asked for the incorrect pizza to be removed from our ticket, and the manager informed me that she had already given us a discount. After inspecting the bill, this discount was a whole $2 off our bill. I told the manager that was unacceptable. She apologized yet did not take the pizza off, saying she couldn't do so. We will never eat at the resort again. $100 for a meal that was made incorrect, and that wasn't even fixed is ridiculous.

Loved the cabin and everything about this place

The apartment was so much nicer than we expected it to be. It was very clean. The concierge were very kind and accommodating from the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out. They helped me to find some fun things for my family to do. There is an on site restaurant called Papa Dicks. The night we went there was live music and the food was fantastic. If we visit again, I think it will be when it's warmer!

I did not like that the apartments had only a door knob lock and no dead bolt. Horseshoe Bend does not have good cell service signal we stayed in SOS mode the whole time except when we were at our apartment. There is no gas station in the area so you have to go about 8 miles out to fill up. Not a lot of things or families to do outside of the resort. Very secluded area, but if you want to do some shopping and exploring you will be driving about 30 minutes at least to get there.
