Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives - Free Airport Transfers

The staff were amazing Our Butler, Ms. Payel Sengupta had a broad and welcoming smile and even saw us off with a large sign. She was so warm! MHelen in the restaurant, she was amazing too, she made sure we had a great cook and dine experience Chefs Priyanka and Rajesh were friendly and really nice and made us really tasty food with a smile. They were amazing. Try the cook with the chef option, it's great value with lots of food and dessert and starters. We chose Thai and it was very good. The food was amazing, almost everything was good. Very tasty, just expensive, for us. Breakfast was on the house and a la carte, very filling with a superb bread basket...different dips, sundried tomato and pesto to die for... Much better than the fare at Huvafenfushi... The rooms were clean and adequately sized. The manager, Ms. Corrine was nice The dive center staff were also good and we found the snorkel with sharks and scuba experience was really good. Mr Ali, at the airport, picked us up and dropped us off, and on the way home, he stayed with us ALL the way, to check in and even immigration. I had stayed at a slightly more upmarket Huvafenfushi 6 years ago and we didn't have anywhere this level of service !

The resort is close to Male. Too many planes fly over, I'd have preferred a more isolated location. They have an awful morning and evening , smelly and noisy instect control fogging sessions with chemicals that smell like petrol, and these penetrate the closed villas, even when the doors are closed They do it at 0530 and evening, and this woke me up 3 mornings , I really wish they'd use some herbs or incense instead. The pool is quite small and is salt water instead of fresh. The poolside restaurant has a great pizza oven, but very mediocre dough... I expected a lot more. The gym had only one working treadmill, and this was out of order for all of our 4 day stay. I was initially not impressed with the lack of toiletries such as razors or moisturisers, but I found out that they were available on request. The bathrooms have plenty of space, but they have a weird toilet that is difficult to flush because of the lid, too much space for the sinks and tubs, and much less for the toilet and shower. Maybe more toiletries would be nice. The nespresso coffee machine and kettle are placed far too low and might be difficult to us for people with bad knees or backs. The selection of tea and coffee were pretty good. Plus, the warm staff, took some time to warm up, but they were so nice when we got to know them.

This was our 2nd time to visit Taj Exotica Resort and Spa. It was just as unforgettable and amazing as the first one, if not better. The personal touches from all of the staff were incredible and highly appreciated. You really feel special and cared for. I'm amazed at how pleasant, helpful, and sweet everyone is. I was very happy to see our butler Pratha again, she is just an amazing human being and wanted to make sure that we had the best time and experience. She anticipated our needs, remembered our personal preferences, and was very flexible with our sudden plan changes throughout the day. Pratha is probably the biggest factor in why we chose to come back to Taj Exotica instead of another resort in the Maldives. Mainuddin in housekeeping kept our beach villa exceptionally clean and added lovely decorations that we really cherished. Ashish taught us how to cook a Maldivian fish curry, which was so incredibly tasty. Our therapists at the spa had magic hands! Truly the most relaxing massages ever and their hospitality was so appreciated. Shout out to Corinna the general manager who makes sure everything runs smoothly and that the guests are happy with the overall atmosphere of the resort. You literally don't want to leave, ever!!! We are already planning a 3rd visit!!

Exceptional location, ambiance & staff service... The 'yes, sure' attitude of Taj hospitality is what attracts me to this chain...

The restaurant could use a few more staff, as it was literally the only restaurant working & most of the tables were always full, so it made catching a server difficult at times...

The room we stayed in was amazing. The sea life surrounding the resort was astonishing and vibrant. The staff was amazing and so was the food.

It was expensive to leave the island and expensive on the island.
