Ongsa House

To be fair I read a number of other reviews prior to booking Tin Rail house and eventually did based on its location. Location is good- close to Boat Avenue but you will still require transport as it isn’t close walking distance.

All the other reviews are accurate. The cleanliness is seriously lacking. This is NOT a resort. It is really fairly run down long term accomodation primarily, with a couple of rooms that appear to be rented out shorter term. The pool is filthy, the grounds unkept, the room smells, the shower doesn’t drain (in fact I saw water coming up from the drain) and the TV didn’t work (and staff did not care). You can find far better for this price in Phuket.

The room was spacious and clean. It was so hot inside when we arrived as the sun had just been heating the room all day and the heat stayed in the walls so the Aircon wasn't much help. They left tea and coffee

We booked this accommodation because there was a pool advertised. When we arrived to our disappointment the pool was a murky green colour and filled with frogs and tadpoles. We informed the staff over the phone as there was no one on site but they didn't seem to care.

Dirty and green pool that we couldnt use after few days. when we talked to the owner he didnt do anything about it. cocroaches in the bathroom, again the owner didnt do anything, just said its because we have lot of stuff! we have been staying in thailand for a month with a 2years old daughter- of course we have lot of stuff. plus there was no wardrobe in the room so we had to keep our stuff in suitcases on the floor. we have been to thailand for 9 times already and never had such an experience, never had cocroaches… there was no will to help us or compensate, so we had to move from that place, even though we paid for it and no one returns us money. when we had a problem the owner stopped replying to the messages, booking client service didnt help us so we literally ran away and lost money. its the worst experience we had in thailand.
