I love this hotel and stay here almost every year. It is beautiful and the facilities are lovely. I know many of the staff and it is so neat when they remember me—I feel at home.

This year there was a person I didn’t know. She was yelling at some of the dining room staff and stalking around. When I got some hot chocolate from the machine that is open in the dining room, she came running up, asking me my room number so it would be charged to me. That’s fine—I just didn’t realize it wasn’t free. It was the way she did it that was rude. That area was also not clean—messy with crumbs. Maybe she was having a bad day—but it was just so unlike my previous stays there.

I love this hotel and stay here often. It is beautiful, comfortable, and the staff, many of whom I know, are great.

There was a woman on staff who was really grouchy. I heard her yelling at someone and she kind of stomped around. Maybe just a bad day? The tea/coffee station is messy and it wouldn’t take much to clean it up.

Room is not soundproof

It’s truly a shame that the management is so incompetent. A hotel with such design and located in such a pleasant environment would have enormous potential. I remember how different the standards were 6-7 years ago. Both then and now, most of the staff were very pleasant and courteous — smiling, ready to help, and trying to make our stay more enjoyable. They really make an effort, and it’s clear that they want to provide good service. Unfortunately, they are not to blame for the management’s mistakes. There was a serious incident with a defective baby crib — it was missing a mesh side, which caused our 9-month-old baby to fall headfirst. This was extremely concerning, and although I could have sought medical help or even filed a complaint for the damages caused, I decided not to, as I really didn’t want to make the situation even more tense. According to information from an employee, several cribs were missing their safety nets. Additionally, hot water was not available immediately, and following the staff’s advice, we had to leave the faucets running for about 15 minutes for the water to reach the room. But that wasn’t all. During the last night, after midnight, a maintenance worker who behaved as if he owned the hotel decided to celebrate a birthday. The music was loud, and in my opinion, there were both fireworks and gunfire. I filed a complaint at the reception, but everything continued for some time afterward. It was completely absurd, and in the morning his arrogance prevailed, as he tried to persuade us to be understanding. This place had so much potential, but with such management, it can never reach the level it truly deserves.
