It was everything I expected and 10x more!

It was very beautiful and serene and clean.

That the reception kept lying that the resort eas full and pushed for the more expensive 2/1 room apartment when it was just my daughter and me and i when i arrived at the resort it was hardly full, infact we had the pool to ourselves most of the time. I also booked for a marine expedition at the offices. We were never contacted and that made me miss the opportunity to see dolphins. I found this very disappointing. There wasn’t any apology either. If you contact the resort directly for booking they will say the normal rooms aren’t available but if you book through booking.com they definitely are so I advise you not to book directly but use the platform.

The staff were outstanding. Location superb!

The hotel was beautiful, and the rooms were exceptionally well furnished. The meals were delicious, and the restaurant offered incredible views. The staff were so friendly and professional. Collins, Ramson, Janet, and the rest of the team including the excursion staff who I'd recommend highly as were patient and took time even when I got unwell. They all went above and beyond for my husband and I.

It's a good getaway for family. Totally worth it. I enjoyed my stay at Hemingways Watamu; the staff were friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Hilda and the pool staff – keep up the good work!

The room service response was a bit slow. Also, the resort should consider guest numbers when booking outdoor activities; for example, the sunset dhow required a minimum of 10 people. They should either adjust the minimum or work with available visitor numbers.
