Amphawa Nanon Hotel

i took a drive up from Bangkok to visit some places in this part of the city and i was glad to find such a modern architecture right in the heart of a traditional local town. Amphawa Na Non Hotel was not just another good looking trendy hotel, but it was built with a lot of thoughts going into it. i took some time to check out all corners of the hotel and you will find they put a lot of heart creating different breakout corners on every floor. The hotel is not fully air conditioned, retaining the tropical and casual feel of it. The room is very spacious and tastefully furnished. i like the contrast in the materials - wooden furniture with metal trimmings and cool concrete flooring. There is a small balcony where you can sit out to have tea with a view. Part of the building's facade is made up of these panels of wood that form a pattern when you see it from outside, but it's a moving panel at the balcony which you can slide to shade off the heat as the sun moves through the day. The staff at the hotel are very polite and are always helpful to make sure you are ok if you meet them around. They gave me a lot of local insights to the places i want to see and things i want to do. There is a spa in the hotel where you can go for a massage at a very good price. The masseur did an excellent job on my tired body. You will be happy to know that the hotel is right where the famous floating market is. You just have to take a walk opposite and there's the beginning of it. And if you wandered off, you won't be too far away too, the back of the hotel is also accessible by another part of the floating market.

kids friendly, kids stay for free for my 4 and 5 years boys. the super king bed is very big, 200*200 cm, the balcony is nice with good view. about 5 minutes walk to floating market, 1 minute to 7-11. Hotel provides massage service with good price, 390 baht for one hour Thai massage and 690 for one hour oil massage. the floating market is very nice and beautiful, suggest to go after 5:30pm. you can join fir flies boat tour in floating market for 60 baht per person for one hour. 15 minutes drive to Mae Klong market, you can see the train with market. worth to see

Good location but too noisy and crowded. Very near to the Amphawa market. But located next to main road, so the noise is the biggest problem. Too much people gathered here with not enough parking space.
