Baladin Zanzibar Beach Hotel

The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, and the beach was absolutely wonderful

This place is the best stay of Zanzibar. It’s a tropical paradise, right by the beach and great location just a quick walk away from the famous rock restaurant. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, loved the decor and especially the outdoor bathroom gives a more island feel . The pool is warm and with great views . The staff is friendly, easy to book excursions with the team and they recommend what would be the best excursions for us . Everything was exceptional, definitely coming back for a girls trip there because it’s so peaceful, it’s was like an eat pray love Zanzibar experience.

The location was exactly what we needed after a safari experience on the main land. We were able to fully lay back and relax. The famous ‘The Rock’ restaurant was a short walk away from us (on the beach front). Pingwe beach is a short drive from Paje (known for water sports).

Everything was nice and cool.

It hard not to like the property. It’s amazing.

The beach was stunning when the tide was in. It is a short walk 4 min from the Rock restaurant which was convenient! Loved The unique and bespoke decor. The breakfast was okay, the coffee was good.

The hotel is a lot smaller than It looks in the pictures and videos. And boring…. There wasn’t much to do. The swimming pool was green with what looked like grime lines on the wall. I didn’t dare swim in it, because it didn’t look clean. The pool is tiny, don’t be deceived by the pictures. If you are looking for a super chill, non luxury holiday…this is for you. The bed wasn’t comfortable. The room is poorly air conditioned, as the cool air doesn’t travel to the upper part of the room easily. You don’t get what you pay for. Just know you will be a bit uncomfortable…. If you are expecting luxury, you will be disappointed. The cherry on the top is that I Found a dead fly in my pasta…..absolutely disgusting.

Nicole and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location is very convenient and a lot of other restaurant for choices with jst a walk in the beach. The stay was fantastic and room was very clean.
