West Bay Cottages Yarmouth Isle of Wight

Location was perfect for us as we had a car and there was car parking on site. Self contained cottages so we supplied our own breakfast or went in search. Highly recommend Off the Rails in Yarmouth

All was ok with each cottage ( we rented 4 of them) some had more in than others but between us we managed. we felt a slightly deeper clean would have been better and some cosmetic issues in some of the cottages but didn't affect our stay.

Everything was perfect.

Lovely little place with everything you need just a few tweaks to make it perfect, phoned on the day before about late check out and was told no problem which was great as ferry was later than planned

After stripping the bed on our last day and was told not to remove the mattress protector which we did the mattress protector needs a good wash, I work in the bed industry and that either needs a good boil wash or a new one! Pillows were also not good

Location good - Very quiet.

The only facility on-site is a laundrette. The luggage trolleys were in poor condition.

Very comfortable beds, good facilities ie microwave, cooker, dishwasher, parking

- Some crockery and glasses in cupboard were dirty! - It would have been good to have bath cleaner and sponge, in fact there was only washing up liquid and a few dishwasher tabs provided. It would have been good to have some cleaning agents, and basic essentials. - Considering we had informed the house that we had disabled person in party, the stairs were inappropriately steep, VERY dangerous! - The lampshade in living room was too low in height for an average man. Our disabled brother kept banging his head. - No welcome book with instructions - Table too close to fridge - No downstairs loo, only one loo roll provided. - No food waste bin - Not essential, but no catch up tv - No hot water for bath, had to ask for it, no instructions for heating - Fridge too small - The key hadn't been left in it's case, we had to get the owners out to open up for us, doors very stiff. We used the back door but we had been instructed to use front door which we couldn't open because it was very stiff.

Toni was extremely helpful and we found the property to work really well for my wife and I and our two young children. It was clean and tidy and was in a very quiet location with lots of areas for the kids to play safely. It was also a short stroll from Yarmouth with it's restaurants etc.
