Halls Gap Log Cabins

A fabulous spacious 2 bedroom cabin with so much storage in every room. While the laundry room didn't have a washing machine and dryer (that's in the service block next door), the room was huge and perfect to dump all our wet weather gear. The beds were so comfortable and the place was really quiet. The room and the grounds were kept very clean and tidy. The huge table was fabulous. We had a lot of gear that needed to be sorted out in front reparation and after the GPT100 event so the table was perfect and the plastic cover on it meant we didn't have to worry about damaging the surface.

Just a small point, the hooks on the curtains kept falling off but we could still close them so not an issue.

The weeds, it badly needed the weeds and gardening around the property to be attended to, made the place look messy

Our cabin was very clean and comfortable. We had a separate bedroom. Bathroom had a shower over the spa bath. I would have preferred a separate walk in shower which I thought the room had with the spa bath however that was my fault. I should have enquired before booking. Spa Bath needs a grab handle. Bed was comfortable and the bedroom was large with plenty of wardrobe space. Nice and peaceful and plenty of wildlife behind our cabin e.g. Kangaroos, emus and a couple of deer. I would stay again.

Sliding door to bathroom from kitchen needed fixing - had trouble opening it. Voile curtains in bedroom and lounge were ripped along the bottom.

Location, scenery

Luettuamme muiden arvioita olimme hieman huolissamme mökin lämpötilasta, koska oli tulossa kylmä yö (+2C). Huoli osoittautui kuitenkin turhaksi, sillä ilmalämpöpumppu ja polttopuut pitivät mökin lämpimänä ja lämmin vesi riitti porekylpyynkin mainiosti. Kengurut, emut, peurat, puput ja värikkäät linnut pihalla kruunasivat elämyksen.

Polttopuut olivat vähän märkiä, mutta ajoivat silti asian.

We loved the location of the cabin park. It was a few kilometres out of town on, we think, previous farm land. There are only 10 cabins in the “park”, spaced nicely apart for privacy. Kangaroos and wallabies appear in the morning and evening, and birds (blue wrens, wattle birds, parrots, magpies and crows are prolific. We had a wonderful time each evening following kangaroos and their joeys around the park under the light of our torches. The cabin was basic but spacious. The bed was very comfortable. We would recommend staying here instead of in town to experience the peace and quiet and the wildlife.
