The Maldives are stunning, and our overwater villa was absolutely perfect. It was huge with two showers (one outdoor, one indoor) and a spacious deck. The resort is of course surrounded by turquoise water and pristine white sand - just gorgeous. We spent most of the time just enjoying our villa and snorkeling in the water in front of us. It was very relaxing. We took the seaplane from Male and it was a beautiful, scenic experience - the airport pickup and transfer were also seamless and efficient. The staff members were all very friendly and hard-working. When we arrived, we were met by a lovely young lady from India (sorry, we didn't get her name), who, later in our stay, checked in on us. We appreciated this extra effort. The meals were good, but standard all-inclusive fare. We were only there for 3 nights - they would have become quite repetitive if we had stayed longer.

Smoking is allowed everywhere. We found this extremely uncomfortable - wherever we sat the wind would blow the smoke in our direction and the other guests were completely inconsiderate. This was without a doubt our biggest "dislike". Some maintenance is needed - the boardwalk is not in very good condition, and some parts of the resort look tired and in need of care. The included sunset cruise was a joke. They bundled us all onto a boat, drove out a little way, waited for the sun to set, offered us some water, and returned to the resort (from where we could see the sunset anyway, and enjoy a drink at the same time). It would have been nice to have had some kind of commentary and a drink. The included snorkeling trip was poorly run. There were almost 30 guests on the boat, many had never snorkeled before, and some were poor swimmers. The guides were mostly focused on these people, and it seemed a bit dangerous to have so many beginners and so few guides. It was good to have a mini bar in the room, but it would have been nice if we could have selected what we would have liked in it, rather than all those sodas and just two small bottles of wine. Many guests left towels on the sun beds for hours and hours when they weren't using them. There ought to be a policy against reserving the beds.

Great pool villas that are private and the staff are truly amazing.

Sea plane transfers are quite expensive at $450/person for a 45min flight.
