Le Pirate Island - Adults Only

Super relaxed atmosphere, excellent facilities, very friendly & service minded staff

The only recommendation I have, would be a short safety briefing when boarding the boat to the Island. The staff should e.g. point out where the live vests are located on the boat.

We stayed two nights at Le Pirate Island in the Glamping Sweet Backstage room. It’s a bungalow tent setup with an open-air bathroom. The tent has all the basics: a mosquito net, a big wooden box for clothes, a floor fan, and power all day. The double bed was super comfy, and falling asleep to the white noise of the waves was pure bliss. The island is adults-only with only about 30 rooms, so the vibe was super romantic and peaceful, perfect for couples. The food was surprisingly good and reasonably priced, especially considering everything has to be brought over from the main island, made the whole service level even more impressive. Right off the beach is the house reef, we saw huge boxfish, stunning bluespotted rays, baby sharks, and beautiful corals. Too bad the waves were too rough the next day for snorkeling. Overall, great value! if you have time, I’d recommend staying a few more nights!

I really enjoyed having the island to ourselves, and I say this because even though there are many people, it never feels overcrowded. The island is so spacious that there’s room for everyone, whether you want peace and your own space or to socialize with others. I chose the bungalow option with shared bathrooms, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the bathrooms were. It’s rare to find a quiet place with only adults; my boyfriend and I are 30, and we met many people our age on the island. The island is beautiful, extremely well maintained, and offers every comfort and facility. In the evenings, they organize different activities. During the two nights we stayed, we gathered around the fire to sing, and on the second night, we watched a movie projected under the stars. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to disconnect, admire the beauty of the coral reef just a few meters from the shore (they’ve been running a coral cultivation program for 10 years, so it’s easy to see the corals with a mask and snorkel), and reconnect with a slower pace of life, good food, and great vibes.

The staff is entirely male, which may reflect cultural practices and considerations around mixed-gender accommodations. I completely respect this. As a woman, I did occasionally notice the absence of female staff, but this did not affect the overall positive experience.

I spent Christmas Day here and what a great decision that was. A Perfect piece of heaven! I loved the beach room I stayed in with an outside shower which was wonderful. The staff were absolutely fantastic, the food was great and the whole vibe was perfect. Snorkelling around the reef was also great but be careful of the currents around the island.

SCAM AND FRAUD! STAY AWAY! The hotel is having “no refund policy” for a reason. In low season they will tell you that they are unable to provide service and transfer and keep your money. Even though their loses are zero.

Hosts are rude and just want your money.
