Jewel Beach Matrouh Hotel

The beach was great naturally without any efforts from the staff. The location is very central all you need is nearby pharmacies, supermarkets , restaurants. Not far from the bus station only 15 minutes by Taxi. The omlette chef is trying to do his best despite of the bad cooking facilities. The beach guards is doing his job and the beach boy`s job; the beach boy is busy taking money from beach visiotrs also he would kick you out from your place you sit on to takes tip from outsiders that pay a ticket to access the beach. Hotel guests are not important the most important is to take tip from others.

We made the reservation very early and the staff could not find our reervation they kept telling us that there is no reservation untill we called Booking.com and the headquarter in Cairo and finally they found it. The reception staff is the worst that a hotel can hire; we had a noise problem in the room, there is a stage in front of us this stage has huge speakers and very bad singers very bad music it starts every night at 8 pm and finishes at 5 am the next day. When we comlained to the reception they told us that this noise problem is already written on the booking.com room description which is not correct and there is no option to change the room. They seem that they do not care about the hotel rating they told us we cannot do nothing. After we complained about this noise and we cannot sleep the reception staff was laughting as they do not care about our problem. People are accessing the beach from outside of the hotel paying 100 EGP for each for the ticket they have a certain area to sit but the beach boys get tip from them to let them sit with the hotel guests. Beach boy do not care about the hotel guests they only care about the outsiders in order to get tip. The trash bin is full on the beach no body cares to empty it untill the stray dogs entered the beach during the night and overturn the trash bin the next morning the trash bin is still lying there on the sand with all the trash out of it and nobody put it in place. There is a scale in the room but it is not working. The house keeping refuses every time to give us a floor towel and when i told her i will use the normal towel as a floor towel she gave it to me. One of us has his birthday during our stay we had to pay for the birthday cake and we asked for one candle they forgot totally about it. The corridor aircondition is not working and leaking the bathroom finishing is very poor. Bad taste and ugliness everywhere .The breakfast does not have any healthy option at all.

The hotel totally without Internet 😵 Even Vodafone network does work..!! The restaurant is very poor, the food is so bad ☹️ And the most funny thing that the TV has no channels only 5 channels!!!😅 The invoice takes two days to receive it..!! The bathroom has a very bad smell 😕
