We loved everything about the accommodation and the cleanliness and friendliness of staff around Fairways.

However, we found that the facilities at the Drakensberg Gardens Hotel were a bit old, broken and tired. For example, the putt-putt course is very damaged and impractical to play, with vegetation growing on the greens, making it difficult to play properly. We also found that there was quite a bit of litter on the roads inside the Hotel grounds.

Chalet 162 which my daughter stayed in was beautiful and you could see the owner had placed alot of pride and care in the furnishing, finishing and overall appearance of that chalet. Chalet 116 was below average. On the stove, one plate did not regulate properly and the bed was poorly finished. Grocery cupboard was locked so we had to leave our groceries on the counter top. Carpet was torn. The sofas were not comfortable at all. Towels had an unpleasant odour. There was only one heater and it was a very cold day. Sub standard unit. Nothing exceptional to mention.
