had done two bookings at the property. Nov 5 - double room with sea view Nov 6 & 7 - superior double room with sea view. While we are driving down from BLR , the manager ( Mr Deepak Thapa) called us and said - you have the same room for all 3 days , despite me repeating that I have two types of reservations. This saga continued at the time of checkin - I showed him the booking details and the pictures . He ‘ sweetened’ the deal by ‘upgrading ‘ us for Day 1 for rs 1000 extra , so that we don’t have to change rooms in between. To our horror , he put us on the first floor, where rooms are much smaller ( not listed on booking.com as on Nov 22) , no mosquito nets , no AC, with asbestos roofs . Late evening , realising that we are being cheated , we protested and were moved to the superior sea view cottages. Again at dinner time Mr Thapa said “Ma’m , you have not booked superior sea view cottages for next two days “ . Again I shows him booking details and pictures of the room. Then he says - you need to pay extra for AC. Again at night he insists that we shift rooms ( adjacent cottage)next morning , because he had personally committed that particular room to someone Day2 : At 11 , we ask Him to shift the luggage to the next room because we were ready to go out for the day. Here he picks up a fight with us - “ you are early, wait till 12 “ and screamed at us saying checkout right now . We had had enough at this point , our experience was ruined anyways and we had the manager cheating us and then misbehaving with us .only when we threatened to have the resort blacklisted, he changed his tune. Mr Thapa , was trying to double sell the room we had booked. Talpona beach is awesome, the staff - one local and mostly Nepalese is also good . But the manager is not professional. If you ever book this property , beware and be doubly sure of what you have reserved .

Lovely location, extremely peaceful.

Exclusive location with a sea view from bedroom. Nothing can beat this. Facilities are basic and clean but it’s absolute value for money cause you can’t get the sea view like this even after spending thousands. Plus the staff is very friendly with good food available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I did not like the place not a bit. After reaching at evening I saw the place and rooms which was not at all comfortable so I decided to look for other hotels or resorts. I told the owner that I will not check in and if they can refund some money not necessary full but some thing he was drunk and rude and told me I will not allow this you came you have to pay the full amount you stay or not stay he is not bothered and dont care. I paid him the full money with taxes and checkout from the hotel. Pathetic behavior, without staying a single minute I had to pay the full fledged amount and book another hotel.

If you want to chill out on a quiet South Goa beach, this is for you. Spring for the beachfront rooms, you'll have ocean breeze and surf to lull you to sleep. Food is superb, cooked by a Nepalese chef, served at beachfront tables with pillows to recline on, and the service is A+. Probeen could not have been more attentive. And owner Deepak's chill attitude is just what uptight guests need to help them relax. Talpona Beach is small, fairly private (except for cows and dogs), and close to other beaches (Rajbag and Patnem are a short boat ride north across the river, and Turtle Beach is a short walk south). Highly recommend.

Hot water can be an issue, since they're dependent on solar.
