Rockholm at the Light House Beach

An understated property which over delivers. Amazing equipped bedroom with a stunning sea and beach view. Abundant and delicious food. Attentive staff without being intrusive.

Perfect location right on the beach next to the lighthouse. Room was nice a big and comfortable. Staff very friendly. We found the food to be rather bland - not many spices and breakfast, lunch and dinner was all very samey.

We had not realised what we had booked into. It was more than a spa it was more of a retreat with treatment and strict rules. It was nice having a 2 hour spa treatment but felt that it was all thrown at us without explanation. Apparently we were unusual that we were only staying one night. It would have been nice to have had fore warning from either Rockholm or booking.com - when we had only booked 1 night.

The location to be one of its biggest positives it’s convenient and pleasant. The staff were friendly, courteous, and always willing to help, which added to the comfort of the stay.

The food was quite average, even though it was vegetarian, and didn’t really meet expectations in terms of taste or variety. The rooms clearly require renovation, as there is visible wear and tear throughout. the balcony glass panels were, unclear, and not properly cleaned or worn out which ruined the aesthetic and took away from what could have been a nice view. With better maintenance, room upgrades, and improved food quality, this property has the potential to offer a much better experience.

This place is incredible but don’t stay just for one night! It’s a proper Ayurvedic retreat: you will have a consultation with the doctor on arrival and they will set your treatment plan. There is daily mediation and yoga. The massages are incredible (and all included in the price!) Meals are buffets with good choice - all vegetarian and no alcohol is served. The location is stunning, right on a private beach, although the water’s quite rough so not great for swimming. You are also 3 minutes walk from a public beach lined with shops and restaurants. The rooms are beautiful and well equipped. Next time I will stay for longer!
