Jewel Paradise Cove Adult Beach Resort & Spa

My bestie and I visited JPC for 7 days, just returning yesterday. It was my first time in Jamaica (her 7th!). I was beyond impressed with the entire experience. I have been to many spots in the Caribbean (Cuba, DR, Mexico, etc) and, by far, the folks at the JPC were the warmest, most welcoming and helpful individuals ever! I had read the many reviews, so was happy to finally meet Terry-Ann, whose energy knows no bounds, lifeguard Barrington (who learned a few volleyball moves from my bestie!), Tevin (get back to work, Tevin!!) & Celene at Reception, and Sofia and her team at the fantastic Radiant Spa. Bodyman Nathan inspired us every morning with his "reggaecise" -- amazing! But ALL the staff were lovely and always smiling! As an amateur botanist, a highlight of my experience was the "nature walk", which is available each morning. We were fortunate to meet Deron, one groundskeeper, who was incredibly knowledgeable and impassioned in his position, maintaining the property. He gave us delightful insight into the many examples of beautiful flora, including the many different palms, medicinal plants and flowering trees. I would highly recommend this on-site "excursion". Everyone asks about the food.... I am vegan and there was ample, fresh, varied options each day; abundant salads, some sort of tofu each day (delish!), fresh fruit and fresh & cooked veggies of all kinds, pasta and of course, rice and beans. There is a great veg burger at the Aquamarine Grill. All are fresh and carefully prepared. There were even eggless chocolate cakes for dessert! My bestie enjoyed the daily jerk creations, crafted in pits in a hut on the beach. Of course the buffet offered a huge variety of options, including custom omelets, roasts and pastas each day. Check out the tuna melt at the Grill, if that's your thing! The sunsets were mind-blowing; different and stunning each and every evening. We were in the smaller, "Emerald Lagoon" section of the property, with our own pool, hot tub and swim-up bar. This was great for shade, near the end of the day, so we would move here after the beach or main pool. Our room was right upstairs; completely updated with walk-in shower, and balcony overlooking the lagoon pool. The mini bar was replenished daily with housekeeping and if we needed anything extra, it was a phone call away. There is a lovely boardwalk along the oceanside, with gazebos for viewing the sunset. At the main beach, one can SUP, kayak, take a glass-bottom boat or catamaran ride, all included in the accommodation. The only part of this vacation that was disappointing was... having to leave!! I can't decide if I should by a ticket for Wednesday's lotto, or just put the $5 in the JPC fund! I cannot wait to go back! <3

There were so many things that I loved about the jewel. From the views, activities, food to the employees. Everyone makes you feel like family and we can't wait to go back. If you are looking for a quiet getaway were you feel more like family then a number then this is the place for you.

My first time at the hotel was a memorable weekend. The ambiance, the food, the spa, not to mention the welcoming staff and the entertainment group. They were Phenomenal. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Keep up the good work.
