Chivarin Resorts

Room was clean, comfortable, AC worked fine (which is really important in Malvan!) and the property staff are superbly cooperative at all times. The bamboo construction is quaint and lends it character along with the lighting in the night. The food is simple but tasty as long as you are ok with Malvani flavours. The cook goes out of his way (try his poha in the morning and biryani in the afternoon) and that's saying a lot as there's no major shops etc for them to buy supplies from so they make do very well in terms of food. The property is relatively new compared to the rest of the resorts. The beach is opposite and accessible and you can also get a boat to pick you up right off the back of the property. This makes it easier for those who want to go out for water sports or fishing (which is what I was here for). The owner was constantly in touch even though he was not on the property which is also an important point.

The area at the back of the property could have been cleaned out to make a sit out by the river. Also be warned on a couple of things in general 1) The last couple of KM's is off road as in the road has currently not been done up so if you have a low car then you would need to take it easy especially when fully loaded. 2) This is also not a place for those who expect a lot of action on the beach. This is a slow holiday where you sit in one place and relax. Therefore for those travellers who expect that there will be facilities and games to keep kids occupied etc this would not be the place.

Location is amazing on the beach and staff are also very humble and amazing , Locally made food with both veg and non veg options ..They do arrange water sports on demand .Lovely resort to spend 3-4 days .
