JA Manafaru, The Real Maldives - Complimentary Seaplane for 7 nights and more - Stay Period 01 May 2026 to 23 Dec 2026

The island and the nature is the absolute star of this place, breath taking views and a friendly atmosphere. The desert island next to the hotel creates the most beautiful background (hope no one will ever develop that island). The beaches are beautiful and the jungle in the heart of the island is serene. Landscaping is astonishing, the lighting in the evenings creates a fairytale like atmosphere. The spa is out of this world; it has a different vibe from the rest of the island, it is almost like one minute you are in the maldives the next having massage in thailand. The quality of the service is great. The welcome drink(pandan tea) is superb. The hotel has its distinct fragrance which is consistent across the island, they use it in the spa too, very pleasant. The Veli bar is the perfect place to catch the sunset, the bartender Imran and the shisha guy Ahmed provided us with a truly 5 star experience. The coctails are excellent. The food is great. Our favourite was the sutainable seafood grill, absolute banger. The inhouse photographer Nabeel is such a lovely guy, he was super enthusiastic and we really enjoyed working with him. The watersports corner is also awesome, so many things to do. We had the best experience learning to dive with Guio!

Our "personal buttler" wasn't the best, poor communication style, not a personalized experience at all... we didn't feel specal but more like a burden. He had sth else to do when we arrived so we didn't get proper introduction, in this case it is more like the hotel managements fault. We should've asked for someone else. The general service is more like 4 star. This is a B+ hotel at a A++ location. Some of the restaurant staff were either clumsy or bordelnine rude, we had issues with our orders almost every day...things we asked for never arrived, we got the bill of the table next to us, they put things on the bill we never ordered or got...then we received some stuff we never ordered :D, honestly it was funny after a while. On the other hand, we had to repeat before every dish that we have food allergies... (the cook knew, but the staff didn't understand the seriousness and didn't remember either). The rooms are worne down (but they are planning the renovation). The live music was terrible, we spent 2 weeks there, listening to the same singer + violinist playing european songs from every genre, totally off vibes from the island'...it was amateurish and tone deaf (not to mention the "dj". They need to have something traditional or authentic to the place to elevate the experience. Cleaning is mixed, we spent 1 week at a beach villa, the cleanliness was below what is expected. In the water villas it was alrigth, not great but acceptable. I would say we had a great time despite the hotels clumsiness. Great location with so much potential, just needs a little work!

De super goede ontvagst en verder alles!

In feite niets, behalve dat het eten (wij hadden b&b) zeer prijzig was, maar wel super goed!

10 e lode! Ci è piaciuto tutto. La Beach villa con piscina individuale e spiaggia riservata (le più belle sono tra la 110 e la 125), i giri in bicicletta in mezzo alla vegetazione da giungla, il menù a la carte con piatti ricercati nei 3 ristoranti, il pesce freschissimo, la gentilezza del personale a partire da Roberto il direttore ed il nostro host Imran, la spiaggia bianca, gli squali di notte sotto il pontile, le mante, i delfini visti al tramonto, il viaggio in idrovolante (non fa paura ed è una delle cose più belle del viaggio), la spa con i massaggi del dottore tibetano, i giri in sup su un mare cristallino. Una vacanza indimenticabile.

Non riesco a trovare un difetto…. Si solo uno: l’idromassaggio della piscina è centralizzato dalle 9 alle 18 (scherzo!)

It felt private and even though there were kids visiting they had fun without being disruptive. Walking and biking everywhere was quite enjoyable. Loved all the restaurants and pool area. Loved how it felt like a jungle when walking and staying in a water villa was fun. We did the champagne dinner in the wine cellar and it was outstanding! The only thing in hindsight, we would have liked to have met the Chef to tell him how wonderful it was. The staff was great. In particular Teddy, Nazim and Niroshan made our stay fun ! Our group celebrated 2 anniversaries, 2 birthdays and Valentine’s Day while there and it could not have been better.

Only criticism…thought the boardwalks to the villas should have higher guardrails for safety. Even though signs are posted asking people not to bike out there of course they did so anyway which might not have mattered had there been higher rails.

There's so much to write hear regarding positives.. The food.. Amazing The island.. Amazing The staff.. Amazing Are you getting the idea yet.. From the main Male airport you're met by the JA Manafaru representative who take you through seaplane check in. Then to the infinity lounge to wait for the plane which is beautiful. You're walked to the seaplane and then you arrive at the island and taken via buggy straight to your room. Our butler Mohamed was amazing and came to ask how our day was at every dinner to check if there was anything he could do to make our stay better. Anything we requested was taken care of within minutes no matter how big or small it was!! Achu our housekeeper was very nice and kept our room in immaculate condition (sorry for all the mess each day). If you're wanting an amazing Maldives holiday I would book this right now!!

Only 2 little things that brought down the experience -roofing on the villa next door was quite worn out so didn't look great when relaxing in the garden -2 jet ski's for 15mins cost over $350 including the taxes which is nearly triple you'd pay at any other place in the world. A shame as I would of liked to go for 30mins but wasn't going to spend around $500!!

Нельзя сказать, что это не понравилось, но на заметку Управляющим - название главного ресторана "Kakuni" для русскоговорящих гостей не очень сочетается с хорошей едой))
