"Pleasurable stay and excellent diving"

9.0

Excellent location and excellent diving

Lots of mosquitoes. The resort puts out coils regularly but they still bite, even after covering yourself in repellent.

"Thank you people of Tufi for sharing your little slice of paradise!"

10.0

I spent 7 wonderful nights at Tufi Resort in June 2024 and am so glad I went. Tufi village is such a peaceful and happy place with very friendly people. I loved seeing the day to day life of the villagers and experiencing a little of their beautiful culture. Staff at the resort and those working on the dive boats were all fun, friendly and very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was great and kitchen staff were happy to provide a range of delicious options to meet my dietary preferences. Food wise, the only small thing I would do differently if I was going again would be to order wholegrain bread ahead of time as only white bread was available. My bungalow was very clean and comfortable with great views from the balcony. Managers, Luth and Anne are very approachable and overall everything was well organised yet flexible enough to fit my individual requests. There were plenty of interesting activities to choose from even though I was not a scuba diver. I went on a waterfall tour, visit to the butterfly farm, snorkeling at Keiko’s Corner which was amazing, Beach BBQ, Cultural Tour and more. During the booking process, I dealt with Jordan who was always very responsive and super helpful in answering my many questions prior to my visit. Tufi Resort website was also full of lots of good information and tips. If there weren’t so many other places to explore in the world I would go back to Tufi in a flash.

I enjoyed every minute so there was nothing I didn't like really.

"One of the best! We will be back."

10.0

Tufi did not disappoint, the divers in our family had a fantastic time and the experience overall was relaxing and enjoyable. The staff were all exceptional, from the top down.

The deluxe bungalow will benefit from a refresh. It is our understanding that this is planned.

"Amazing spot, amazing people"

9.0

1st. People in the resort were extremely kind, helpful and resourceful. Also FLEXIBLE, which is most appreciate, as there might be some unexpected events (weather related mostly). 2nd. The place is absolutely UNIQUE, in its beauty and exoticism. 3rd. A Paradise for divers, regardless of the tough seas, which were unexpected this time of the year. The marine biodiversitiy is just AMAZING. 4th. You get to interact with the people in the villages around, which is GREAT! 5th. Plenty of things to do if you're not diving, being snorkeling and kayaking probably the best within the fiord. Also some options to Boulders waterfall/sunset cruise and suicide lookout/butterfly farm, which are always welcome. Weren't lucky to do the bord of paradise hiking/village stay. 6th. Last, but not least, the FOOD was AMAZING!!! All day long, but particularly at dinner time. If you enjoy fresh-big portions of the best local fish, it is worth the go! PLEASE consider bringuing donations for the school/local hospital, they are most welcomed.

Nothing really. Diving can be limited by weather conditions, like elsewere in the planet, I guess. We would have enjoyed more GROUND activities, particularly jungle hiking and GUIDED bird watching. But no complaints, this was a diving resort.

"Absolutely a pleasure!"

9.0

Such a pleasure visiting here for the weekend! The Tropic Air flight from Port Moresby that brings you straight to the resort gives breathtaking views of the terrain below. The resort is lovely, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff are friendly, attentive, and professional. We loved the little details such as them bringing popcorn to our room in the afternoon. The views of the fjords from the deck are beautiful, and the diving is incredible. There were only 4 of us here for the weekend and they took great care of us. We felt very pampered. The food was great; (I’d give it 8/10 for one overcooked fish and one serving of undercooked fries) but everything was always beautifully plated. It rained one day here but it felt cozy and relaxing and there was plenty to do: games, darts, ping-pong, pool, books, chilling… Definitely recommend visiting this place if you have a chance!

Only 2 things: What they call “paddle boards” are not paddle boards. Those should be replaced ASAP. The kayak is great though. The plentiful mangos that fall all around the property aren’t collected; they’re left lying around to go bad. That’s unfortunate and doesn’t correspond to the otherwise pristine state of the resort.
