Our stay at the Amritara Aura Resort and Spa in Mandrem was excellent. The accommodation was bright, clean, authentic and spacious. The room service team (Kamlesh Prabhu) was first class. We enjoyed a huge and scrumptious variety of food at breakfast and the staff were very attentive. The gardens are beautiful and full of colour and the team do a superb job keeping them tidy. The swimming pool was fabulous and again kept very clean by the attendant

We have some suggestions for improvement: 1) Tiny air bricks/a fan by the sun beds close to the wall near reception/cashew nut tree. Almost no air circulation there 2) The eight sun loungers around the pool should have a parasol for sun screening 3) Attentiveness to the hygiene and cleanliness of poolside washrooms should be a priority. We did report this several times 4) Shuttle service to the local beach. The local beach is too far to walk to and the taxis are disproportionately expensive for the five minute ride there 5) Educate all the staff (including FB management) regarding the seriousness of food allergies for example, Gluten Free, so that they do not inadvertently garnish a GF pasta dish with non GF garlic bread 6) Quality of evening meals falls short of the lovely breakfasts and the value for money is low compared with other local resorts and restaurants. Improve the recipes for Chicken masala, Thai curries and Goan fish curries so that they are distinct and authentic 7) Promote Goan/Indian beverages as they are very good eg Feni/Sula etc wines 8) Your website mentions daily yoga. Despite requesting this service, none was available

The rooms were huge and just as shown in pictures. The property had lot of plants and trees which makes it cooler in summers. The pool was very nice and the overall aesthetics of the property was beautiful.

The breakfast was disappointing. Food wasn’t tasty and bakery options were limited. The approach road was very narrow and didn’t feel luxurious as you pass through it.

The Hotel staff was very humble and maintained high quality of service standards. The parking guards are always there to help you park your car. The main gate guard ensured pleasant entry. The reception area is chilled, relax you immediately. The club cars ensure smooth movement 24*7. The restaurant serves yummy and customised food since I was travelling with parents. Kudos to everyone in the restaurant and specially Vishva who took good care of us for all the 3 dinner meals. Will highly recommend the property and will stay again
