Khao Sok Las Orquideas Resort

Lovely and good value hotel just off the main strip in Khao Sok. The view from the room into the forest was excellent (see pic) and really quiet, feels like you're in the heart of the jungle. Staff were really friendly and helped us book an overnight lake tour (which was great value at about £70 each, and just amazing staying on a rafthouse - it's definitely a must-do - see pics). We also booked a night forest walk tour which was interesting - saw vipers and tarantulas! We were only able to stay one night as we booked a bit late but would def stay here again.

Nothing really. We didn't really try the breakfast but it looked ok! We were prevaricating about booking the overnight rafthouse stay as we read a lot of complaints about mass group tours - and the price felt too good to be true. We went in high season (Feb) and I would say it's still worth it despite tourists. We were in a group of 40 (two longtail boats - see pic for real boat vibes-but don't let that put you off, was still amazing!) and whilst at some points it felt a bit like we were waiting around etc, once we got on the lake and to the raftouse itself.. we knew we'd made the right decision. At night it was only our group in the whole rafthouse which just made it so peaceful and special. We saw lots of monkeys and the caste mountains around the lake are just stunning to take jn. It was also nice to chat to other travellers. The hotel booked us a rafthouse room with a private toilet which I really appreciated as most others are just basic bamboo huts with shared facilities (which I'd say still go for it if that's all that is left!). The forest night tour was also good - again, quite a few tourists on the route with guides,, but seeing a viper up close made it pretty special. And a sleeping monkey!

Huisjes liggen op een steile helling. Weinig daglicht binnen.

Authentic, very clean - believe me. If you stick to instructions of not bringing food into the room, insects are very limited - we had almost none. The staff is very friendly and they take care of the luggage for you. Beautiful garden, which I guess is part of the jungle. Monkeys running above your head, all the noises from birds and insects make the stay especially memorable. Pick this hotel, if you want an authentic experience.

La plomberie : salle de bains vétuste Piscine très petite

Toll gelegen. Bungalows mit dschungelfeeling. Badezimmer mit viel Platz. Super freundliches Personal und sehr hilfsbereit bei Buchungen wie Taxi, Ausflüge etc. Es gab einen pool aber keine extra Handtücher dafür. Moskitonetz, Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher und Safe vorhanden. Klimaanlage auch gut einstellbar. Tiere , wie z.B. Affen haben wir aber keine gesehen. Aber Frösche. Anlage insgesamt schön ruhig. Restaurants und zum National park Fußläufig erreichbar.

Bei Regen konnten wir leider nicht draußen sitzen trotz Überdachung, da diese Undicht war.

Bungalow nr 5 was steil hoog op de helling. Aankomst vlak na regenbui en het pad was spekglad.

Anlage liegt gefühlt mitten im Dschungel, Pool gut, guter Service, Lage gut, Zimmer genügend groß

Zimmerausstattung nicht besonders geschmackvoll, laute Musik beim Essen hat gestört

Magnifique jardin et les chambres sont très confortables. Séjour très agréable !
